I am pretty obsessed with every MM book LB writes and this one was no exception! I listened every chance I got and did not want to turn it off!

Jason and Beck are *chef’s kiss*! I love their pining, the banter, their scorching chemistry!! These are two of my favorite narrators and they really bring them to life. Teddy is always an amazing performer and he really hits Jason’s personality through his performance; witty, easygoing, knows what he wants. JF as Beck is more calm and calculated and pulls off his more shy demeanor. Both of these guys are QBs for their NFL teams and have to have the leadership skills to succeed, however Jason is more outgoing and Beck is reserved due to his battle with anxiety. LB starts us off with a bang and I love the tension these two have in trying to navigate a secret relationship after a one night stand a year before. These two have such a deep connection and even after the ghosting, are still thinking about each other. And let me tell you, the stairwells have a lot of “ups” and leads to “going downs” 😏. The story was emotional at times and I was entirely lost in listening!

Other tropes/themes you’ll find here are forced proximity (same town hangouts), team rivals, he cooks for him, first mm experience as bi, “talk you through it”, Spicy spice, Vers lovers, found family, and a brief third act breakup.

*Re-read of book via audio*

It was so good being back with these two guys and what better way than listening to Brandon and Gabriel bring Maddox and Devon to life. Their performance was incredible and I loved listening!

Previous review: What do you get when you take two hot-headed, competitive motocross riders? Maddox and Devon in a volatile, angsty relationship that instantly hooked me and I devoured!

Now this is not a book to base anything healthy on because these two have a love language of physical touch in the form of beating the crap out of each other and constantly trying to one-up the other.

Maddox never thought he’d be falling for a guy, much less his sworn enemy. When Devon gets beat within an inch of his life, Maddox is there to mend him up while Devon is fighting tooth and nail to not have him help. I loved their banter, the way they fight and spew insults, yet how they can’t stay apart.

After some forced proximity, they are able to learn about each other and share in new experiences together as a couple. They really do have a swoony relationship because even though they are wanting to hate and beat each other up every other page between making out, when they allow their emotions to come to the surface and get voiced, they really care deeply for one another.

Maddox is a quiet, yet more aggressive man than Devon and normally is the dominant one, yet Devon has the capability to make him weak in the knees and be submissive. I love how they alternate roles to be what the other needs in that moment.

Maddox and Devon have a shared upbringing with crappy parents, poverty, and feeling like they are nothing but trash, but have each other to push and challenge every step of the way. I loved the growth of their relationship over the course of the book. They don’t want to put a label on what they have, all they know is they can’t be without the other. Maddox and Devon mention multiple times how they are each other’s constant and I loved seeing how this played out. No matter what got thrown at them, they had each other’s back.

I will come back and add more but ultimately this was a phenomenal story and even better performance from the whole cast. Greyson and Stephen make an incredible duo and I was instantly swept away in the story as Rina comes in with a WOW scene and I was hooked (as always with any of her books). This story was raw, and powerful, and the fight these two had, not only for their pasts, their current situations, or what may occur in the future for them, but just daily hurt/comfort as they battled to be the one person in the world who could make it all better. I read along as I listened and there is so much goodness in the pages but listening to these two is just a whole other experience! The spice, the hurt, the drama, I was here for it all and can’t wait for another listen!

This was the most fun listen while on my commute today. I want more of these two and could literally listen for hours more of their story. I bought this on a whim because I love Shane East and knew it would be a good listen but this turned out to be a great listen! It reminded me of The Originals and I just ate it up!! NOLA, Vampires, Witches, Shifters, ancestral magic, rituals, dark forces, fated mates, some spice, and ahhh so good! And OMG any time Shane pulls out the Scottish accent is melty goodness. Luke is a Scot so we get narration in Shane’s native British, character dialogue in Scottish, and then even NOLA American for some of the shifters. And can I request a book of Shane narrating in that accent! Perfection! This was my first time listening to Lucy as a narrator and she’s amazing! She was able to move into many characters flawlessly and duet narration together they made it feel like a full cast and I loved it. The story was intriguing, and a quick listen.

4.5🌟

I’ve read more of L. Blakely’s MM with this being my first Lauren contemporary MF and it was a fun read and I listened in one day! Shane is my favorite narrator and I always love his performances. I’ve listened to Vanessa before as well and enjoy her delivery. I’m used to duet performances so it’s been a while since I’ve been in a dual but both narrators delivered. I normally cringe with dual because females doing male voices and vice versa throw me out of the story. I’ve heard Shane in dual numerous times and know he does well with the female voice range but Vanessa held her own. Also with having two accents to work with (British and American).

The story was really fun and literally listened in an afternoon, which is unheard of for me. I loved the small town, later in life first loves, single parents with very different stories, he calls her “love”, a woman who is s3x positive and knows what she wants with a man who will give her the world. Single parent has been a least fave trope but this was done great. The kids were a big part of the story but didn’t take away from the story of January and Liam’s relationship. I couldn’t get enough of their witty banter, dirty innuendos and talks, and of course their chemistry is hot! I enjoyed all the boss babe vibes through this story with the whole town majority women doing the d@mn thing!

January starts as the matchmaker for Liam and setting him up on dates, only to realize he’s the one she wants. This man-icorn who’s a smexy vet, can cook, and mad bedding skills who wants all the things she doesn’t (or so she thought). This is a story of family and love and that sometimes the journey you think you are meant to be on will collide with another’s and will bring you to the right place, at the right time, to the right person who compliments you and completes your heart.

Having not read any of the series yet, this was a great introduction to the next book with the full story of Sky and Nathan. Shane East is my favorite narrator and if I see his name, I know I will enjoy the book. This was my first L. Steel read and I really enjoyed what I heard so far. This is the first time I’ve heard Roxy and I think I she did a really good job and portraying Sky at 18. This little listen had what I love; military romance, best friend’s little sister, somewhat forbidden, and enough tension to keep you wanting more, a little taste of what’s to come. Only reason it’s a 4 for me is the age gap for this particular read. 18 and 33 is a bit much for me, but I pushed on through though for the next book because she’s older and I know I will enjoy it more, even with the 15 yr age gap. It was a plus that it was only some first base plus grinding for this round. I am definitely interested in listening to their full story.

A journey I have been on since 2020 and a little overwhelmed at seeing THE END this time.

As for the story, I had some mixed feelings along the way. Bear with me though. I didn’t quite connect with Ava for a good chunk of the first half or more of the book. She was bratty and entitled, as she had been most of the previous books. I didn’t like how she treated her friends and acted as though she was above everyone else. Eli being late 20s and the oldest of the whole friend circle, has been out of the party college scene for a while and has a seat in the King business. We’ve known these two would be end game from way back in RES, but their story brought in similarities from other books with FMCs suffering from anxiety, depression, and mental instability and at times I kept disconnecting from the story. This lead me to re-listen/re-read with an open mind and leaving behind any misconceptions of what I wanted the last book to be, and this was exactly what was needed.

I listened and tried to put myself in Ava’s shoes. What is considered bratty and stuck up is more of her coping mechanisms. She drinks to numb the feelings, the fear of losing herself in an episode, of not being normal. Shes been in love with Eli her entire life and he always seemed out of reach. Based on what we’ve seen throughout the LOG series, we’ve been able to put pieces together that if they couldn’t be together, no one else would be with them either. After an accident that leaves Ava with amnesia, forgetting 2 years of marriage to none other than Eli King.

I loved the depth of character that Eli shows. He really has Aiden’s persona from RES, protective, calculating, “mine”, yet tender and responsive. He really does want what is best for Ava and I hurt for him to see her lose herself in her mind. I started to feel hurt for Ava as well and that she has struggled so much and usually putting up a front for everyone, but Eli sees right through it at each step. What started out as a fake marriage to protect her, both fall more in love with each other.

When all the truths come to a head I was bawling my eyes out. It hurt to listen to her being broken and what all lead up to these events. Their past and future full of questions and uncertainty. I felt just as hurt when Eli tries to deal with her confessions. It truly felt like a death to mourn but he never wanted to give up on her and hoped one day she would love him and not fear him.

I loved the dad chat!! It’s always my absolute favorite part of the LOGs. I enjoyed the cameos of the others and how the timelines of the other books blended in the end, as this was one thing I questioned earlier on, why none of the other couples were married after years past uni. But at the end, I felt it tied up nicely and though I don’t want to say goodbye for now, I can feel satisfied with the way Ava and Eli’s story was told.

Thank you Rina for this amazing journey!

This book has been on my TBR for a while and I finally got a chance to listen and I devoured it in one day! Shane is one of my absolute favorite narrators and I’m now adding Joe to that list! Together, these two were perfection and the emotion and performance was incredible! I could feel everything through their words and it sucked me right in! It had everything I love in books: swoon, banter, hawt spice, tears, the works!! I absolutely adored Fitz and Dean and how they fell fast and hard for each other, so hard ;-)! Their sarcasm and witty banter were top notch! I loved how they went in for fun and ultimately found they couldn’t be without each other. Five days in London changed Fitz’s life and in less than a week, Dean was just as much head over heels! My favorite scene being when they first said those powerful words and the way Fitz always has to be always be first, did it up in typical Fitz style and is now my favorite quote from this book! Having a full cast was amazing and I can’t recommend it enough!! Kudos L. for bringing these two together on page and to our ears!!

I had no idea what to expect when I downloaded this book, but I was sucked in immediately! I did this via audio and will be completing the series the same way!
This book was intense, emotionally and physically!
Luke and Vance are full of raw energy and the chemistry between them is nuclear level! There is instant attraction between them from the second they meet.
Luke is a mega church pastor who has had to wear a mask to not reveal who he is, hiding behind his teachings, not being able to be free to love who he wants. Vance is bi, though has been with more women than men, Luke will consume him body and soul. Vance will be the first man for Luke. They embark on what should be a one night stand on Luke's yacht but the impact they have on each other has a lasting effect! The spice is OMG hot and smoldering!
Over the course of the book there are moments of hidden love making, stolen kisses, and longing to be together, yet forced to be apart. Luke can't get through his hold-ups of what he should be and what he wants, and Vance is it for him, though he makes every attempt to try and forget him. Vance continues to think about him over the years and knows no other can compare. The time apart is filled with emotions and when Vance takes on the job of painting a mural in Luke's church and they are face to face again after years apart, the angst and tension is leaping off the page (or into your ears). So freaking hot! This does end in a slight cliffy and I can't wait for the next chapter of Luke and Vance!

I did this book tandem with audio and ebook. One of the best ever! This was the first book I heard using Duet Narration and it was amazing! No fear of weird voices from the opposite sex (female reading male lines or vice versa). Zura and Zach did an outstanding job bringing Tadhg and Keelynn to life and I was instantly sucked into this world! And of course the accents didn’t hurt! It was the perfect start to a series and I never felt like I was trying to learn a new world. It was easy to listen to and keep track of the characters and places.

Tadhg is swoon-worthy and easily added to the book boyfriend list! He’s cocky and his innuendos are ready at the whim! He gets under Keelynn’s skin so easily but yet she’s completely taken by him, no matter how much of the book she tries to deny her feelings. He’s constantly wanting to help her with her stay and she’s ready to clutch her pearls until the heat is almost combustible. It’s steamy and melty and all the goodness! It’s a slow burn but does have on page spice to enjoy. It’s an adventure with twists and turns, memorable characters, marriage of convenience turned more, and leaves you breathless when it all comes out! I loved this book and I can’t wait to dig into the next one!
