Historia
The Oracle foretold that Princess Valda Aither of the Sky Kingdom would discover her mate on her twenty-fifth birthday. They would lock eyes and find each other, as has happened since the dawn of time. Valda desperately wanted to believe the Oracle, but her hopes of finding her soulmate were shattered when she inexplicably lost her vision during her birthday celebration. Needing time to heal and adapt to her new reality, she was assigned an assistant, a young woman named Maris Era, who set her body and mind ablaze.

Great World Building!
Revisado: 04-06-25
I hesitated to purchase this book mostly because I wasn't sure if it would be sapphic enough or if the story would just drag on, but NO to all of that. CC Gonzalez has built an interesting world with magic and love and fated mates. Once I reached the middle of the story I was searching to see if I could get the next book in the series! It is SO worth a credit to listen to this book! This is my first listen to Ava Flynn narrating and I think she nailed it!
I'm looking forward to the next book in June!!!

ALL the feels!
Revisado: 12-02-24
Jen Lyon just crushed me with this story! Laughter then anger then laughter then heartwarming laughter then tears and so on. What a crazy emotional rollercoaster this book has been for me! It’s quite difficult to finish a painting with tears running down my face! I have so much love for this book! Thank you for telling their story! And this might honestly be my favorite book narrated by Abby Craden! She nailed all the feels! 🥰

Gripping Story!
Revisado: 08-08-24
This book was alternately heart wrenching and uplifting and will bring you to tears one moment and have you laughing out loud the next. It follows a young woman and her family as they all struggle with the events of their lives both present and past and how they all fit together both as individuals and together. It gave me vibes of Hillbilly Elegy, as the struggles of poverty are present but it was the people that stole my breath with how they dealt with their problems. These characters will be living in my brain for a while I am sure! Alex McKenna knocked it out of the park with this narration! Her voice completely brought these characters to life for me! I will definitely be looking for more books by Rachel Stark and books narrated by Alex McKenna!

Something different from Radclyffe!
Revisado: 10-13-23
I love it when authors try something different! This time Radclyffe delved into magical fantasy and it was great! I wish she would have jumped in completely and gave us a little more background on the how/why the characters had certain abilities. But the story was great in itself! The author wasn't my pick for this story and I can think of a few others that might have put more feeling into it but it did not stop me from finishing the book. May not be for those looking for just romance!

A decade ago in upstate New York, art student Emma McCullough walked into the woods and was never seen again. It’s a mystery that still haunts her bucolic university town and her broken family, especially her sister Haley, whose need for closure has become an obsession. But now, finally, the first piece of evidence in the vanishing has been found: Emma’s bracelet, lodged in a frozen piece of earth at the bottom of a gorge.

Fantastic!
Revisado: 05-15-23
It's been a while since a 16 hour book went so fast or felt too short! Character development was well done and their stories told in just the right amount of detail without getting bogged down in back story. The narrator, Natalie Naudus, did a fabulous job. I loved her intonation and speed. Perfect! Absolutely worth every minute of your time. I love audio books but I may have to get the kindle version of book 2 since it's not out yet on Audible. I NEED to know what happens!!!
