we really enjoyed this continuation of the Harley Merlin series. It was great to see some of the minor characters take more active roles and the addition of some new characters. We are thoroughly enjoying this series and look forward to the next books!

This was suggested on Facebook and I needed something for a car trip with my teen sons so I figured I'd give it a try.... AWESOME! At first, it seemed very much like the Harry Potter story line but it does diverge and have unique elements of its own. My other thought was that it is a good story but it is not as well written as the Potter series. However, the characters are very engaging and we found ourselves wanting to know what happens next... so we bought books 2 and 3! Both sons (12 and 14) loved the storyline and characters. One commented on how much he liked the voices. Some curse words here and there but not excessive. I would recommend this to any Potter fans who likes the genre...
