Magical conclusion

Midlife Magic Malady is the final book in the Legacy Witches of Shadow Cove trilogy. It pretty much picks up where MMMonster ends and ties up all the loose ends left over from the first two books. For this reason I do not recommend it as a stand alone novel...but why would anyone not want to read the whole story anyways. It is a really fun story. Jennifer L Hart has a gift for storytelling. Her complex characters are deep and intriguing and with the narration of Jacqueline Rendell the settings come alive on the pages. Add to that a bevy of supernatural creatures and this trilogy is a very entertaining read/listen that I highly recommend. Ms. Hart and Ms. Rendell continue to be a winning combination and I look forward to enjoying more of their collaborations.

Midlife Magic Mirror

Midlife Magic Mirror is the first book in Jennifer L. Hart's Legacy Witches series. It introduces the two main characters, twins Bella and Donna. (I was immediately loving the book for the play on their names alone.). Although previously estranged, they are brought back together when Donna's cheating husband has her arrested as she tries to get into her own house. Bella bails Donna out of jail and the two begin their journey back to the loving sisters they used to be. Ms. Hart is a talented author and is able to combine reality and magic to create a fantasy world with fun, well developed characters. It is so easy to imagine being a part of their world. MMM is a great beginning to what promises to be a fun witchy series. As a narrator Jacqueline Rendell has done a great job bringing all the characters to life. Her narration is a very nice way to enjoy Jennifer L Hart's magic. I definitely recommend both the book and the audiobook!

Witch Way Ever After

They say that all good things must come to an end. That is definitely the case with Jennifer L Hart's magically heartwarming Witch Way Ever After. WWEA is the final book in the Silver Sister's series and I thought it would be a more mild ending that would wrap up all the loose ends from the previous six books. Boy was I wrong. The Silver sisters' finale goes out with a bang when Alys decides to put her faith in the wrong person. One last time the sisters and their loved ones (living and ghostly) work as one to save Alys proving they will always be stronger and better together. As with the earlier novels love and family conquers all. Ms. Hart has given us a wonderful story with these books and I have enjoyed the narration provided by Jacqueline Rendell. Together they make a great team and I look forward to their future collaborations. Wonderful job ladies!

Witch Way Tomorrow

Witch Way Tomorrow continues the Silver Sisters' series as Alys, Maeve and Siobhan enter the Fae realm to attend a ball in their honor. However, this is no fun loving ball as it quickly turns deadly and the sisters must fight for their lives and those of their loved ones and friends. WWT is darker than the previous books and the heat is ramped up on the love scenes (as before, these can be bypassed if the reader chooses with the story picking back up with the next chapter). Yet even with the darker feel of this book Jennifer L. Hart still shines with her fun, magical elements as she demonstrates the importance of love, family and friends. Witch Way Tomorrow is the 6th book in the Silver Sisters series with only one story left to wrap it all up. If you are new to this series I definitely recommend starting at the beginning and enjoying the magical world Ms. Hart has created. If you are a lover of audiobooks the entire series is narrated by Jacqueline Rendell and she does a wonderful job bringing all the characters to life. Whether you prefer to read or listen this series needs to be enjoyed!

Magic, Mystery, Ghosts and Spice

After listening to Jennifer L. Hart's Witch Way Today I am reminded of why this Silver Sisters Book 5 is my favorite to date. It is such a fun read and listen! I really like this series. Witch Way Today has it all: magic, mystery, ghosts, romance and spice. (I also like that Ms. Hart gives a heads up to the inclusion of a sex scene for the readers who would prefer to pass on it.) The stories remain unique even as the characters and their personalities continue to grow. I really love the characters and how they interact together. They never forget what it means to be family. I'm glad Jacqueline Rendell continues to narrate these books. I think she does a great job and I really enjoy listening to her narrations. For anyone who has not read or listened to this book...go get it now. It is a must read!

Jingle All the Witch Way

Jennifer L. Hart's Jingle All the Witch Way continues the stories of Alys, Maeve and Siobhan Silver. It is a very powerful read wherein the sisters are forced to look within in order to face their fears thus finally learning to love and accept themselves. In addition to the emotional journeys, prior storylines get wrapped up giving this reader the feeling that the series could be at an end. I truly don't know if this is the conclusion but Ms. Hart has done a wonderful job bringing this series to an end if it is. Narrator Jacqueline Rendell has once again done a great job bringing the story to life. The book bounces back and forth between each sister's story and Ms. Rendell makes it very easy to follow the action. I hope there is a book five in this series as it is a lot of fun! I highly recommend it!

Witch Way After Forty

Witch Way After Forty is a great beginning to Jennifer L. Hart's Silver Sisters Trilogy. It tells the story of Alys, Maeve and Siobhan, three ordinary women who after a night of revelry find they have been gifted with magical powers when they drunkenly mix up an empowerment brew. Although this is primarily Alys's story, the focus goes back and forth between the sisters setting the groundwork for the sisters's stories. Hart's WWAF is a very fun story that leaves the reader looking forward to the next book in her series. Narrator Jacqueline Rendell has done a great job bringing the story to life with her narration. I am really looking forward to listening to the rest of the trilogy! I definitely recommend this series to all who enjoy PWF. Ms. Hart has written a great tale that just makes me want to keeping reading!

Witch Way or the Highway

Witch Way or the Highway is Jennifer L. Hart's prequel novella to her Silver Sisters books. It explains how Laney and her daughters end up at the cabin on Witch Way with the mysterious and kindhearted Jess. Although the story is a little bit tragic and sad it is also inspirational as it demonstrates both what a mother will do for her children and the power of sisterhood. Throw in some magic and a guardian spirit and the reader will have an entertaining short story to enjoy. I thought Jacqueline Rendell did a great job as narrator and I look forward to listening to more of her work! I definitely recommend this book and especially the audiobook!

True love never gets old!

Her Impossible Husband, by Cynthia Wright, is a sequel to her book His Make-Believe Bride. Bought to life through the wonderful narration of Tim Campbell it continues the love story of Mouette and Justin St. Briac some ten years after HMBB ends. Justin is experiencing an inner turmoil as he sees his old friends getting older, some dying, all retiring from their days of pirating. Not wanting to admit his feelings to his wife, his reticence starts the chain of events that becomes this story. I loved this book! I actually loved it even more than the original. The author's wonderful descriptions and scene setting captured my attention from the first page and I found myself thoroughly charmed once again. Add to that the dreamy narration from Tim Campbell and I most definitely highly recommend this audiobook!

Make-believe or Real?

His Make-Believe Bride by Cynthia Wright continues the stories of the Raveneaus and the St. Briacs with the telling of Mouette's and Justin's love story. I loved that the characters were into the prime of their lives... proving you are never too old to find love - or in Justin's case too old to be rerformed. Cynthia's detailed characterizations and picturesque sites paint such a lovely picture that the reader is able to feel that she is a part of the whole story. Plus the story is all the more enjoyable with the return of many of our favorite characters from previous books. HMBB is a must read for all who have been reading and following these wonderful stories and characters through the years.

Cynthia Wright has found a gem in Tim Campbell. He is the perfect reader for her novels with an amazing voice to totally bring her stories to life!
