bordering 5 stars
Revisado: 10-21-21
I really wanted to give this book 5 stars; but I just felt like the end was lacking closure for Moniques' character.

Historia
At once profoundly personal and far-reaching, Exit Interview with My Grandmother serves as a meditation on the beginning of a young woman’s life and the series of questions that arise from examining love, loss, family, memory, and death. Moving between cities and centuries, Meyersohn probes her family's Jewish history and her grandparents' relationships in part to decipher her own young queer relationships, but also to examine how we ought to behave in the face of a world riddled with uncertainty and doubt.

Good Bones
Revisado: 05-12-20
I really enjoyed what this book had inside, but everything left me wanting to know more. it seemed like the whole book was short introductions to chapters that weren't finished. I was just always left wanting to know more and feeling like the archs weren't developed enough or finished.

Historia
Save Yourself is full of funny and insightful recollections about everything from coming out (at a Catholic college where sexual orientation wasn't in the nondiscrimination policy) to how joining the circus can help you become a better comic (so much nudity) to accepting yourself for who you are-even if you're, say, a bowl cut-sporting, bespectacled, gender-nonconforming child with an eye patch (which Cameron was).

Perfection
Revisado: 05-01-20
I adored this book! As a queer formerly catholic 30 something I shared a lot of what Cameron so bravely shared with us. It's a perfect coming of age and coming out story that is sure to become a stable in baby queers trainings such as the lword and better than chocolate!

Historia
With a career, a boyfriend, and a loving family, Piper Kerman barely resembles the reckless young woman who delivered a suitcase of drug money 10 years ago. But that past has caught up with her. Convicted and sentenced to 15 months at the infamous federal correctional facility in Danbury, Connecticut, the well-heeled Smith College alumna is now inmate #11187-424 - one of the millions of women who disappear "down the rabbit hole" of the American penal system.

Historia
Angela can feel the clock ticking. She is single in New York City, stuck in a job she doesn't want and a life that seems to have somehow just happened. She inherited a flair for Italian cooking from her grandmother, but she never seems to have the time for it - these days, her oven holds only sweaters. Tacked to her office bulletin board is a photo from a magazine of a tidy cottage on the coast of Maine - a charming reminder of a life that could be hers if she could only muster the courage to go after it.

iffy ending
Revisado: 02-02-15
loved the narrators, story and almost the entire book until the end. It just seemed like the whole book was leading to the end obviously don't all books? but this one especially and it was kind of an abrupt end.
