Historia
Over 175 million people in the United States need some sort of vision correction. From glasses to contacts and corneal reshaping to corrective surgery, there's no question that seeing clearly improves people's quality of life. But what about our spiritual vision? With so many religious, philosophical, and ideological lenses to look through, how do we find the right lens? In this series, Skip Heitzig brings the core doctrines of Christian faith into clear focus. These are the truths that define who God is, who we are, and the choices that every person has to make.

Revisado: 05-10-22
31 Teachings crafted to help the listener to see the truth of Scripture clearly and to understand that there are fundamental differences between what the world calls and considers truth versus what the truth is from God's viewpoint which is the standard.

Historia
The Whitewashing of Christianity is informative, insightful, and inspirational, telling a history that's often hidden, ignored, revised, or unknown. Confrontational, but not combative, it details how the American church has helped create and maintain the false narrative that Christianity is a White man's religion and how it has presented almost every person in Scripture and most of Africa's theologians and martyrs as White men and women.

A Very Much Needed Book
Revisado: 05-02-22
I had always wondered how every Bible screen adaptation was always majority white people. Likewise, I wondered why most of the Seminary Schools were headed up by and taught by a large majority of white people. However, like pastor Jerome said, the answer is not Blackwashing- BUT, the truth about biblical times and the people of the Bible needs to be taught and told. I mean, after all, we are talking about Africa and the immediate surrounding areas that are spoken of in the Bible LONG BEFORE colonization. We, people of color didn't make Christianity about color. Those who whitewashed Christianity did and perpetuated it for years. We, people of color didn't make our own Bible to make us look superior to other ethnic groups or to one specific ethnic group. Those who whitewashed Christianity did.
This is a very timely and very much needed book. Sources abound throughout for the reader (listener) to go do the research for his or herself. The book recording seems to cut off before the actual end on the Closing part. Personally, I wasn't a fan of including the foul language but other than that, this book is on point! So much so that I'll be purchasing hard copies for each of my children.

Historia
Standing for God's truth is a serious thing. Standing against it carries major repercussions. In this series, Skip Heitzig presents Jude's call to get in the ring - a call that is as relevant today as it was when Jude penned his letter. Believers must defend the gospel to unbelievers. They also must guard against false teachings that distract from the truth documented in God's word and threaten to destroy the church. In the fight to protect the church and the truth of the gospel, are you a contender?

Historia
We live in a culture that is constantly asking, "What's next?" We want to know the latest fashions, trends, stocks, and gadgets. In a world that's always looking for the next big thing, we can sometimes forget the most important thing. As Christians we are called to wait with anticipation for the return of Christ. In this series, through the book of Revelation we look forward and ask ourselves, "What's next?"

Historia
We say we want to be holy, yet we tolerate sin on a daily basis, comfortable with its permeating presence in our homes, our relationships - our very lives. And while we view murder, lust, and lying as unbearably wicked, we trivialize gossip, gluttony, and envy. In the series White Collar Sins: Death in Its Sunday Best, Pastor Skip Heitzig challenges us to view all sin as destructive and recognize its painful consequences.

Historia
God often uses the least likely people to accomplish his will, even working in spite of our human tendency to do what's right in our own eyes. In this verse-by-verse study through the book of Judges, Skip Heitzig explores a dark and difficult season in Israel's history, revealing not just the dangerous grasp of the sin cycle but also God's plan to appoint imperfect leaders to deliver his people. We discover that even when we're at our worst, God still makes a way to break our patterns of sin and lead us into redemption.
