I really enjoy listening to this series! It's a fun read and I love to see what the main character will come up next with his set of skills. It was really fun seeing him do a decent dungeon dive while trying to keep his abilities hidden from the rest of his group. Will definitely be reading the next one!

A great isakai style story that's a little hard and dirty. The story continues of Eryc as he has been drafted into the Roman style army and struggles to survive.
A great week to strong story that's very enjoyable to see where it goes!

I really enjoyed the start to this series. I like the main character is just an average guy that is isakai'd to a magic Roman land and has to survive. I love that he is conscripted as a soldier and is just making his way. definitely recommend!

Historia
Max and his party start down a dark path with only an echo to remind them why they’re fighting. Finding their target in the game isn’t enough, they need to find them in real life. Perhaps for this very reason, they’re no longer harmless misfits: they’re the most infamous players in the game. They get invited to an auction that offers contract items to the highest bidder, a golden opportunity to prepare for the battles that loom in their future. Weapons aren’t the only thing they need. Down a party member, they need a new ally to fill the void in the team.

Really enjoying the series and excited to see where it is next going! it was fun seeing a heist plot in a video game mostly with guys that are completely clueless and probably would react exactly as I would in a heist! Will definitely be reading the next one!

Historia
I spent most of my life trying to get by with whatever happiness I could, that included alcohol, food, and porn. My death was unpleasant and humiliating. However, death is something we all need to go through. A bit like a proctology exam: necessary, but never anything one wants to go through while it's happening. However, death was supposed to be the end of it. Either way, the pain, suffering, and failures were supposed to be over. No, I ended up as a small stone, strapped to a table, while a pimple-faced teenager rubbed my facets and told me how "lovely" I was.

Solid Dungeon Core Story
Revisado: 05-19-19
Came across this book while trying to find something to fill the gap after Going through the Divine Dungeon Series. Its a pretty solid story about a rando who dies and ends up in another world in a dungeon core and then hijinks occur. I really did like though that the main character has more realist reactions at points when the magic starts flying for humorous effects (ie "I then did the dungeon core equivalent of curling up into a ball and cried"). Lite LitRPG elements, the MC levels up several times but we don't really see any results.
Overall I would recommend if you are a fan of dungeon core stories.

Before the online game Carpe Noctem hit the market, the average person wasted a third of their life sleeping. Now, instead, players step into a breathtaking world of fantasy and adventure. For most users, this is a dream come true. For players like MaxDamage24 and his sidekick Kirabell, it is about to become something else. After being fired, one of Noctem’s creators sets into motion a plan to bring the system crashing down. To stop the collapse, Max and Kira will have to gather their most trusted friends and embark on a quest that will push them to their limits.

Very fun listen!
Revisado: 04-24-19
Enjoyable gamelit style read, several characters are called on to save their "World" with adventure and jokes along the way. The deepest part of the story was the discussion of gender and what that means, it comes out of the left field a few times and is surprising how cutting it could be. If you are looking for a fun easy fantasy read that dissects gender norms I definitely recommend.
Also, there is a brothel scene that is very well written and had me in tears because I was laughing so hard. I would honestly recommend the book on that alone.

Series is the best of the LitRPG genre out there
Revisado: 07-19-18
Hopefully at the third book you have a sense for the series, but if not it's the continuation of Jason the necromantic ruler of the Twilight Kingdom in a fictional MMORPG. Jason continues to play his role as "the villain" of the game even though he and his friends are the seemingly only ones with morals out of all the players.
The best reason to read this series? Watching Jason create and execute a clever and interesting plan. It's the same reason that we love watching the Joker in the Dark Knight or Keven Spacey in House of cards, villains at the top of their game are just entertaining.
The only drawback to these audiobooks is the number/stats sheets, when read out loud without the sheet in front of you it can be hard to follow along. Otherwise, this is a really solid series!

Tim and his friends find out the hard way that you shouldn't question the game master, and you shouldn't make fun of his cape. One minute, they're drinking away the dreariness of their lives, escaping into a fantasy game and laughing their asses off. The next minute, they're in a horse-drawn cart surrounded by soldiers pointing crossbows at them.

I hate how much I enjoy this series
Revisado: 06-17-18
Seriously, before I read this series I thought that this was not my cut of tea. Toilet humor, unlikable characters, hardcore D&D once a day use spells; all red flags for me. Audible kept recommending it to me though so I gave it a shot and now I'm hooked. You quickly realize that as stupid and unlikable the characters are it's actually very smartly written, these mature "I love Lucy" situations will be setup and you don't feel sorry for whatever happens to them as everyone in the book really has is coming.

A different tone then past books
Revisado: 12-11-17
This isn't quite what I expected from previous books in the series. There is a big time jump of 25-30 years and not so much adventure and espionage as just trying to survive as the status quo is violently changed. The characters that we have grown to know and love are still somehow doing the same thing after all this time and haven't grown at all. I found that there was subliminal tone of melancholy of growing old through out this book that left me feeling sad for the main characters. Honestly there are really only 2-3 major plot developments somehow in the 20 hours of this audiobook.
TL;DR: Good but weakest book in the series so far.
