Historia
Ten years ago, Grace saw something that would forever change the course of history. When evil in its purest form is unleashed on the world, she and others from their religious community are already hidden deep in the hills of Tennessee, abiding by every rule that will keep them safe, pure - and alive. As long as they stay there, behind the red perimeter. Her older brother's questions and the arrival of the first outsiders she's seen in a decade set in motion events that will question everything Grace has built her life on.

Couldn’t put it down!
Revisado: 09-11-19
Ted Dekker always has a way of illustrating biblical Truths in a way that makes them so real, even with stretching the boundaries of reality. The revelation Grace has at the end illuminated a battle I’ve been personally struggling with the past few years to walk away from the fear that grips and identify fully with the light. Thank you for writing this book, it completely changed my view on fear, guilt, inadequacy, to see it as what binds and not beneficial as it has been taught to me (by the world’s wisdom) even at church!

Historia
Wild and Free is in equal parts an anthem and an invitation to find freedom from the cultural captivity that holds us back, and freedom to step into the wild and holy call of God in our lives. With fresh biblical insight tracing all the way back to Eve and a treasury of practical application, Jess and Hayley reveal how women today can walk in the true liberty we already have in Jesus.

I want to scream freedom for the captives!
Revisado: 08-12-16
I read this book for a book club; it was chosen by a friend and her recommendation to me was that it mirrored the cry of her heart for women and she felt like mine as well. This is exactly what I've felt the Holy Spirt has been singing over me in the past year-to be free from the hindrances of this world to love and serve Jesus with fierce abandon! I wish I could say these words of life to every women I know and I say them often, to my friends, mother, sisters, and myself.

This was an amazing book! I only regret not having it years ago! What freedom in not needing to be all things to all people and instead working within my giftings that bring joy.

Historia
Do you feel trapped in the machine of excess? Jen Hatmaker was. Her friends were. And some might say that our culture is. Jen once considered herself unmotivated by the lure of prosperity, but upon being called "rich" by an undeniably poor child, evidence to the contrary mounted, and a social experiment turned spiritual journey was born. 7 is the true story of how Jen took seven months, identified seven areas of excess, and made seven simple choices to fight back against the modern-day diseases of greed, materialism, and overindulgence.

So much more than I expected!
Revisado: 05-22-15
I purchased "Seven" after devouring "Interrupted" and loving it! It was by far more than just the down-sizing theme I expected, Jen went deep into the heart of trusting God to fulfill all our needs!
