A memorable read
Revisado: 03-27-23
This historical fiction novel was based on the life of Susannah North Martin during the period of the Salem witch trials. You're told of the strange ways they tried defendants and their superstitious accusations, a time when you're guilty by hearsay. During the trial and in jail, Susannah reminiscenced about how she met her husband, George, who became the love of her life.
This was an amazing read/listen and definitely worth a reader's time. The narrator did an excellent job. At my request, I was given a copy of this audiobook by the author.

A great anthology
Revisado: 01-20-23
Overall Rating: 4.5 stars
This is an anthology full of amazingly written romances. Each story is unique and approaches love from different viewpoints and circumstances, but linked together because all stories involve the 'marriage mart' time of life. These stories are clean reads and are very well edited.
I was given an advance copy of this book both in written and in audio form. The narrator does an excellent job and I enjoyed her narration style.
My review was voluntary and my opinions were my own. I highly recommend this anthology to Georgian historical romance lovers. The stories were wonderful quick reads and I'm looking forward to reading the next anthology in this series.
The Diamond of Bristol
by Arlem Hawks
Rating: 4 or 4.5 stars
• I liked the witty banter between the characters.
• Corah and Derrick were very interesting characters. Corah had not found any man that she would even consider courting. Derrick was a navel officer, just now realizing there's more to life than the sea.
Women of a Certain Age
by Josi S. Kilpack
Rating: 4.5 stars
• Can you take matchmaking too seriously? What really makes a good match?
• No wager in this story.

• This was my favorite story. What a wonderful character Lord Wesley was.
• I just loved the whole premise of this story. I was very caught up in the story from the very beginning until the end.

Historia
The Ambrose curse has stopped Amelia from following her heart. She’s accepted her fate as part of the generations of Ambrose women who’ve lost their husbands too young. So Amelia is determined to never marry, to never allow herself to fall in love. Grigg Edison has been patient long enough. Two years, in fact. When Amelia confesses that she’s ready to test the power of the curse, all he wants is a chance. He’ll do anything, including risking his heart to uncover the origin of the ancient legend. But for Amelia, the risk may be too great, and the roots of family lore too deep.

Excellent audiobook
Revisado: 08-10-22
Rating: 4.5 stars
What I enjoyed about this book:
• The beginning of the story caught my interest and I began to root for Grigg to be noticed by Amelia.
• I liked the relationship of caring that Grigg and Amelia had. I felt it throughout the book. They were people I easily became attached to.
• I laughed at some of Grigg's and Amelia's witty banter.
• How much baggage do we carry with us in life? Do we unconsciously drag it along life's pathway hindering our forward progression? These were questions I pondered as I read this book. I like books that make me think.
• The descriptions of locations and emotions were well done and easy to visualize. I felt a part of the scenes.
• Moore writes with an easy-to-follow prose that guides the reader without confusion.
• This story was well edited.
• This was a clean read.
This book can be read as a stand alone. I had not read the other books in this series. I imagine reading the earlier books would give extra insight into the Ambrose family dynamics, but they were not necessary. I will be going back and reading them because I enjoyed this book so much.
I was given an complimentary copy of this audiobook. My review was voluntary and my opinions were my own. I highly recommend this book.

Historia
Eventually, all wallflowers will have their chance at love...this is where it begins. Lottie Hughes likes people, as long as they aren't too close. Does it bother her that no one asks her to dance? Yes, but she's not sure how to drum up dance partners when she has almost no dowry and no title, and freezes up when anyone tries to talk to her. Ellen might be beautiful and considered a diamond of the first water by Society, but she is so very tired of the pressure to marry a titled gentleman. Charlotte Winters is destined to spinsterhood until she turns down an unwanted proposal.
