Holy cow the guy narrator pulled me out of this series. I couldn’t finish it. It completely changed the flow and personalities set in the previous books.

Listen, I 100% found out about this book because of her TikTok’s about “Scott” and his emails about how bad her books are. I was sucked in and amused by those TikTok’s. In hindsight I’m like …. Holy crap.. I bet that was just a marketing ploy. Either way ….. Scott was right…this is bad. And I listen to silly cozy witch books. It was cringe. The “romance.” The twist. I finished it but would never recommend .

I loved this whole series. I was drawn to it for the fantasy/magical stuff. I’m not a fan of steamy romance novels and every sex scene made me cringe and it wasn’t needed for the story to progress. Like we get it. He makes your middle hot. Let’s move on.

As someone who has been in therapy off and on for 42 years, I was pleasantly surprised that there are some new ideas in this book that led to some ah-ha moments! Additionally the narrator’s voice was so dang soothing ! Highly recommend.

Those two things right there lost me. There is good stuff in there. But you have to cringe through some of these things. Plus, I think this section about swapping out chemical laden products for clean is only an option for a certain socioeconomic class. She talks about getting new “clean” mattresses and flooring.

My Fault for not realizing how “god” centric it was

I was just introduced to Dr Leaf at a leadership conference and everything she said blew my mind and I could not wait to get my hands (ears) on her book. I didn’t realize how intertwined she is with god and the Bible. That’s great that she is but it’s not for me. You start to reference bible passages and I am out.
