Historia
In this lyrical, unsentimental, and compelling memoir, the son of a Black African father and a White American mother searches for a workable meaning to his life as a Black American. It begins in New York, where Barack Obama learns that his father - a figure he knows more as a myth than as a man - has been killed in a car accident. This sudden death inspires an emotional odyssey - first to a small town in Kansas, and then to Kenya....

What can I say?
Revisado: 12-23-19
It has been an honor and a pleasure to hear this autobiography. I have always admired the man, the President....but this allowed me to view him in a different light.

Historia
Music professor Gus LeGarde and his wife, Camille, are looking forward to a relaxing vacation at Paines Creek Beach on beautiful Cape Cod. But Gus barely has a chance to feel the sand between his toes before a near-miss car accident drags him right into the middle of a local family feud - and a centuries-old mystery that's begging to be solved. As Gus is drawn further into the conflict between the Cooks and the McNabbs - two families with a grudge going all the way back to colonial times - he and Camille keep uncovering more questions than answers.

Poor Max!
Revisado: 09-27-19
I didn't enjoy this one as much as I have the other Legarde mysteries. I remember in earlier book were Max was injured, Mr. Lazar stating he would never kill off a main character. Thus he saved Max in that novel! I wonder why he changed for this book. I also didn't enjoy the Cape Cod characters all that much. I think if I had read those novels, maybe I would have had a better understanding of these characters. The narrator was ok, not the best. He made the book a bit boring.
