Could not put it down. Very original idea and it gets more and more compelling as the adventure progresses.

As real life feels increasingly like a sci-fi novel, it seemed like the perfect time to launch a sister version of our Audicted podcast dedicated to this otherworldly genre. We’ll help you find your next listen by talking about the ones that feel most relevant to us right now, and why.

Great so far
Revisado: 05-17-20
I appreciated the insights and exposure to titles which were not on my radar. Even hearing about the titles I knew about put context to the hosts tastes. I look forward to more.
A few things I’d like to see.. when discussing a title, please state the title and author at the end of each discussion as well as the beginning so we don’t have rewind to get the details, Also, please make sure the titles are listed in the app and provide links for ease of use.

A great edition to the saga
Revisado: 09-17-12
Where does Battle Station rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Its in the top two for the series and it's a series I recommend a lot. Very creative and the stories just keep coming.
What does Mark Boyett bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I can't imagine another reader on this series and appreciate him very much. The characters all sound different and are brought to life very well.
Any additional comments?
Keep 'em coming B.V. I'll buy them all.

Best one yet
Revisado: 09-17-12
Would you listen to Invincible: The Lost Fleet: Beyond the Frontier, Book 2 again? Why?
Yes. It's a good series though sometimes its just more of the same (but the "same" has npbeen good enough for me to consume them all). This one was head and shoulders above the rest.
What does Christian Rummel bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Great division in both voices and character styles. They really sound great and never get muddied with other characters.
Any additional comments?
I can't wait for the next one.

Historia
Low-level entertainment lawyer Nick Carter thinks it's a prank, not an alien encounter, when a redheaded mullah and a curvaceous nun show up at his office. But Frampton and Carly are highly advanced (if bumbling) extraterrestrials. And boy, do they have news. The entire cosmos, they tell him, has been hopelessly hooked on humanity's music ever since "Year Zero" (1977 to us), when American pop songs first reached alien ears. This addiction has driven a vast intergalactic society to commit the biggest copyright violation since the Big Bang.

Great and creative book
Revisado: 07-18-12
If you could sum up Year Zero in three words, what would they be?
Comparing this book to The Hitchhikers Guide is a little unfair. It's in a similar "comedy of the absurd" style, but not an epic tale. That said, it's still a very funny book. The reviews of the non-audio book format have been largely very good and I have to agree with them for the audio book. John Hodgman's performance was great and perfect for the story.I can only assume that those who don't like it, just don't "get" the humor.I completely recommend Year Zero and can't wait for more.
