Historia
Mariana Andros is a brilliant but troubled group therapist who becomes fixated on The Maidens when one member, a friend of Mariana’s niece Zoe, is found murdered in Cambridge. Mariana, who was once herself a student at the university, quickly suspects that behind the idyllic beauty of the spires and turrets, and beneath the ancient traditions, lies something sinister. And she becomes convinced that, despite his alibi, Edward Fosca is guilty of the murder. But why would the professor target one of his students?

This Author delivers!
Revisado: 10-26-22
As with his other book (The Silent Patient) this sat in my library for a while. It was hard to get into at first but after about 3chapters I was hooked.
What I enjoy most is you keep guessing. The ending will catch you off guard and along the way you keep questioning what you believe.
As many have mentioned it's always fun when a character from another book makes an appearance and this made me want to go back and listen to The Silent Patient again.
The performance was okay. The narrator is a British woman and from time to time was also narrating dialogue from an American man. The inconsistency (and difficulty) of switching back and forth between accents and tone of voice got the best of the narrator. May not be a big deal for many people but I found it distracting how she would start saying his lines in a British accent then suddenly switch to an American accent that slipped in the middle of the sentence.

Historia
When Edward Cullen and Bella Swan met in Twilight, an iconic love story was born. But until now, fans have heard only Bella's side of the story. At last, listeners can experience Edward's version in the long-awaited companion novel, Midnight Sun. This unforgettable tale as told through Edward's eyes takes on a new and decidedly dark twist. Meeting Bella is both the most unnerving and intriguing event he has experienced in all his years as a vampire.

a new perspective
Revisado: 02-04-22
It was nice to get a new perspective on an old favorite. I am glad that Stephanie Meyer decided to release this. It was like reminiscing with old friends and hearing their memories of the events.
