Boring and repetitive

This was an interesting story and I enjoyed it. However, this book needs serious editing or at least some beta readers. Saying “holy elf tits” hundreds of times within one book is just sloppy and super annoying. The author also lost track of the skills the main character (MC) obtained as the MC is supposed to be in life or death situations but doesn’t use many of his powerful skills.
The overall premise of the book is great, but compared to the first book this seemed like the author rushed to publish it without having anyone take a second look at it. I hope the author does not accept mediocrity to be published in his next book.

The story was entertaining, but not constructed in a believable way, with women throwing themselves at the protagonist. The women were also supposed to be beautiful and intelligent and capable and yet they were perfectly okay with the MC having multiple partners while expecting that he would be their only partner. It seems that the target audience is a 13 yo boy who wants to have a harem and power. Also why didn’t the MC repay the alchemist who he stole the antidote from to heal his mom once he had unlimited riches? His morals are trash.

I appreciated the creativity of Sarah Maas’s world building. The very very low intellect and poor decision making of her protagonist made this close to unlistenable though. I only finished it because I love my wife and she likes this series.
