Historia
Life is freaking hard. We are all doing hard things every single day – things like loving and losing; caring for children and parents; forging and ending friendships; battling addiction, illness, and loneliness; struggling in our jobs, our marriages, and our divorces; setting boundaries; and fighting for equality, purpose, freedom, joy, and peace. On We Can Do Hard Things, Glennon Doyle, author of UNTAMED; her wife Abby Wambach; and her sister Amanda Doyle do the only thing they’ve found that has ever made life easier: Drop the fake and talk honestly about the hard things including sex, ...

confrontation avoider
Revisado: 02-09-23
I am really going through a difficult time with my family right now, and there are many things I need to address. However, I struggle with constructive criticism. I have been wronged, and I need to address the insult while giving an opportunity for the other person to attempt to recover their integrity from this event. They are family, and together, we need to mend. I don't know how to address our issue's in a way that won't cause defensiveness. This podcast has helped me to understand how our brain works when criticized. I see the importance of recovery, as opposed to not addressing the confrontation. I also have some examples of language to use that may help to be successful.

Repair deeply needed
Revisado: 01-17-23
This is so deep. I am very new to attachment theory, trying to understand what has gone wrong with some of my close relationships. I want desperately to repair some family connections, and I need to understand more about attachment issues so when I try to communicate again I can come from a place of love and not defensiveness. I really hope you continue to feature podcasts such as this. Thank you for making me aware of attachment issues. I wish I knew of this 25 years ago.

Reconciliation needed
Revisado: 01-16-23
I loved this episode as it rings so true for aspects I have been struggling with in my life. This episode helps give me the language and knowledge needed for me to work towards repairing relationships. I have been absolutely paralyzed to repair some family bonds because either I haven't had the confidence or strength to approach. The estrangement within my family feels too common place, and I want to learn how to start communicating in a way not to trigger old pains with my initial words. Thank you.
