Disappointing

The story is too heavily reliant on narrative. The reader's performance is dry and lacks performance. I got all the way to book five in this title, hoping that the characters or the story might eventually grab me and pull me in. It never did. I'm very disappointed. I had the other 3 titles in this series cued on my device, but I'll be deleting them. I'm just not interested in trying anymore. 😕

This a must "read/listen" for anyone interested in topics related to Arthurian tales. It the most complete version of the epic I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing.

I love reading and listening to audio involving Jax. He's an amazing "anti-hero?" I'm always on the edge of my seat, waiting to see how he comes out of the stickiest situations and still ends up being the "good guy."

I'm at the brink of tears. Were it not for the fact that I am at work I think I would have broken down hours ago. My wife asked me to read this book years ago but I lost interest by chapter 2. Now I find this audio book and I finished it within hours of purchasing it. Unfortunately I am too late! My wife has divorced me and has another man living with her and my 2 sons in the home that we made. This book has helped me realize how I failed her but, it has also given me hope. I now realize I still love her even if she no longer loves me. I only hope that by trying to love her now, the way I should have when we were married, that she will someday be able to forgive me for the emotional and psychological suffering I put her through. Thank you Dr. Chapman.
