Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. But Mark isn't ready to give up yet.

good reader just not a good subject for his cadence

I loved this book through another audible app. this one is ready but a different person and this does this book no help, he does not adjust voice thru several back and forth. I would request a refund but audible doesn't do this easily

Historia
The essential guide to radiation: the good, the bad, and the utterly fascinating, explained with unprecedented clarity. Earth, born in a nuclear explosion, is a radioactive planet; without radiation, life would not exist. And while radiation can be dangerous, it is also deeply misunderstood and often mistakenly feared. Now Robert Peter Gale, M.D. - the doctor to whom concerned governments turned in the wake of the Chernobyl and Fukushima - in collaboration with medical writer Eric Lax draws on an exceptional depth of knowledge to correct myths and establish facts.

very direct, and I appreciate that it didn't hover too long on any one area.

Although it states that one generally does not change opinion once it's made, i really did come to soften slightly on nuclear after this book. it really puts into perspective the coal burning industry and how toxic that is per pound (and not just air pollution!) You had me at Dr Gale, and I appreciate the summary giving kudos to people who listened to it's entirety!

Ray Porter makes all listens worth it! his dynamic way of engaging from chapter one such a joy to come back to over and over. as soon as I found out he narrates the trilogy, Amazon had my money!

the reader might be good, but he is new to recording. I really hate hearing his swallowing. it really takes away from the story. I wish I hadn't wasted the credit. the read was far to distracting to appreciate the story
