Of all Club B stories this one tackles topics that hit closest to home for me: acceptance by family and the risk of negligent partners and the impact both of these have on one’s psyche. Though heavy topics the book manages to balance them with levity and sexiness without ever disrespecting the formers impact. The narration does an admirable job further emphasizing emotions and making sure things never feel too heavy.

A story about unconventional love brought to life

Both me and my wife loved the book so when we saw there was an audio version we jumped at the opportunity.
What the story does really well is paint a realistic yet always loving picture of the sorts of doubts that people have when opening themselves up to new relationships. Those in the BDSM scene in particular. Yet though it respects the uncertainties that come with this it also motivates one to make the leap regardless by painting a wonderful picture of what can happen if one embraces these parts of themselves and looks beyond any superficial shortcomings in others
The audiobook expands on the theme. For one Chy Moon’s soothing voice adds a layer of intimacy further charging the more erotic scenes. But funnily enough it were the scenes where a main character experienced a level of embarrassment that stood out for us the most. When reading the chapters we felt what was experienced yet somehow the narration made us experience it. It really added to an already wonderful story
