Going to read or listen to this again

Sam narrates this audiobook in an effective way. She's realistic, clear and to the point in getting it done. What I love about this book is that it centers itself around creative people. I'm a composer, but also have a full-time tech job, and a family that keeps me busy. I found her methods apply directly to me, as simple as sitting down for 15 minutes and DOING it! I also love her take on perfection, and you will too. I highly recommend this book for those who are striving for the balance in their life.

Wish I had read this sooner!

My world is full of opportunities to rejection. Writing and submitting music cues to film and TV placements is something I like to do when I'm not working my day job in IT, but is often met with lots of rejection. This book made me think about how to get over this rejections quickly, and how to improve and increase the number of "Yes"'s! I definitely recommend this book for anyone in any capacity of life where rejections can be common.

A little over my head!
Revisado: 01-10-17
I'm going to give this an overall 4/5 stars, only because the content was a bit too technical for me. But the angle of integrating computer algorithm processing with understanding human decisions is definitely a unique one. I will probably listen to it again to see if I can absorb some of these concepts. But for someone who is well versed in computer algorithms will certainly benefit if he/she is looking for bettering their human lives!

Most disorganized self-help book!
Revisado: 01-08-17
I purchased the audible book version, and all this did was stress me out. David Allen rambles on in a very disorganized, "all over the place" fashion. There is no focus on any type of best-practice, even though "bed practice" is sprinkled throughout the book. Very old-school ideas on how to organize. Might be a good listen for people who like to sit in an office all day shuffling files into folders and wasting time organizing email. No work-life balance ideas I could get out of this. Sorry, there's far better self-help and motivational books more current than this.
