Historia
Lyla is in a bit of a rut. Her post-doctoral research has fizzled out, she’s pretty sure they won’t extend her contract, and things with her boyfriend, Nico, an aspiring actor, aren’t going great. When the opportunity arises for Nico to join the cast of a new reality TV show, One Perfect Couple, she agrees to try out with him. A whirlwind audition process later, Lyla finds herself whisked off to a tropical paradise with Nico, where the two of them will compete against four other couples in order to win a cash prize. But not long after they arrive, things start to go wrong.

Not Impressed
Revisado: 07-02-23
This has been my least favorite RW book. Slow, repetitive dialogue, and transparent. Reads like someone trying to use some modern bitcoin/ hacking/ computer “ese” but poorly and outdated in tone.

Finn and Layla are young, in love, and on vacation. They’re driving along the highway when Finn decides to stop at a service station to use the restroom. He hops out of the car, locks the doors behind him, and goes inside. When he returns Layla is gone - never to be seen again. That is the story Finn told to the police. But it is not the whole story.

Pathetic
Revisado: 08-24-21
Total waste of time. Much ado about nothing… characters not likable at all! Stupid dolls over and over. Has to retell the story at the last chapter to explain everything. Story just bleh and not inventive! Skip.

Historia
Everyone in the small town of Denton is searching for Isabelle Coleman, a missing 17-year-old girl. All they've found so far is her phone and another girl they didn't even know was missing. Mute and completely unresponsive to the world around her, it's clear this mysterious girl has been damaged beyond repair. All Detective Josie Quinn can get from her is a name: Ramona. Currently suspended from the force for misconduct, Josie takes matters into her own hands as the name leads her to evidence linking the two girls.

3.5 , 4 with better narrator
Revisado: 08-02-18
I enjoyed the overall story. I listen to lots of mystery/ murder mystery and the story was good. I like that it didn’t go deep into the gory murder and torture details so authors go overboard with that part. What I didn’t like was the narrator! She sounded like a little girl and had very odd pronunciation of simple words. Maybe it was supposed to be a PA accent but it threw me off. If the voice was better would have been more enjoyable.

Historia
When a body is found stuffed into a barrel at a garbage dump, covered in long red lacerations, Detective Jenna Alton and her new deputy, David Kane, rush to the scene. Nothing ever happens in the small American town of Black Rock Falls, so Jenna believes the victim must be one of two recent missing persons, and she fears for the life of the other. Both were strangers to the town, but there's nothing else to link them. Jenna knows someone must have seen something, but no one's talking.

Painful
Revisado: 04-05-18
This was so very annoying! The writing was juvenile and repetitive. The narrator sounds like a 10 year old child. Main characters silly and shallow. I typically always finish a book I’ve had to pay for but this was just painful.
