Historia
"Innovation is an act of love—or at least it should be. Always. It is a gesture of empathy, respect, generosity, of one human being’s devotion to another,” writes Mauro Porcini at the beginning of this extraordinary book. It is in part a memoir by one of the world’s leading designers—the first chief design officer at both 3M and Pepsi. But even more, it is a manifesto for a genuine, authentic, and deeply humanistic approach to design, one that aims to create personal and social value first and financial and economic value afterward.

A great read, not just for designers
Revisado: 12-11-22
Mauro, a design philosopher, a savvy exec, a thinker, and a visionary founder of PepsiCo Design and Innovation Center, gives practical guides based on his loved-in experiences.
I’m exactly at half-way point of reading his new book. I love books written by futurists and innovators, and I thought this would be an equally intriguing contents of vision, foresight, experimentations, and personal growth. It didn’t disappoint! Mauro’s chapters validate the unique magic that innovative people and their mindset bring to big organizations, and takes the conversation beyond design and commerce. I’ve listened to him speak before, but this book is not a repackage of his designer sound bites. This is a well constructed humanistic analysis, an eloquent reflection of how to transform an organization through the unique power of people and their imagination.
