It's a one-trick pony and sadness from beginning to end. I can't believe I made it through. Do not waste a mthrfkg penny on this.

flawless. struck the right note time after time

I first listened to the next series in the history of this world, and it constantly referenced this trilogy so created a pent-up demand in me to understand the genesis of all that. Character development behavior is superb. The narrative stayed right on mission, never going off into stupid attempts at humor or any but the briefest references to romance. It's a lot of the same characters in both trilogies and one comes to like these well-drawn people. Also just the right amount of exposition. I especially liked The Jackson Wolfe, The male lead, was not an idiot that the author could exploit for the "okay enough of the details" faux charm. I like them very well educated.

ADD DIALOGUE TO THE LAST SCENE, PLEASE!!!!

If you are used to military space opera future kind of stuff don't let this earthbound title put you off. I am that kind of person and was not sure this would work but it's got all the elements needed to create a world that easily met and surpassed my expectations.

This is a ripoff. The book should be combined.

The book was fine. I resent the fact that unlike other series where books can run up to 14 hours this money grubber breaks it all down into short books when two at least should be combined. That would be in step with Amazon's approach that has been successful.

Not too much human emotional stuff and mostly focused on science and military and technology. And, no characters that had a stupid sense of humor. in fact there wasn't much of an attempt at that which often ruins this genre.

Don't read The Kill Chain, at your peril. Really.

This could well be the most important book in print at the moment. That's not hyperbole. Every stakeholder in the kill chain, from politicians to bureaucrats to silicon Valley, et al, needs to reorient themselves around the imperatives here. We are at THE most critical inflection point in human history. Again, not hyperbole. This is existential, as if an asteroid were about to hit the planet.

You can't imagine how far behind we are in our military thinking and how cemented in place are our systems and silos and idiots that will lead to our doom and domination by the winners.

The author speaks of a world of Defense Without Dominance, the unfortunate state of affairs we have recently slipped into. For the last 30 years we have felt invincible, projecting power where needed, almost cavalierly. That is now a virus in our mindset. It is simply a different world and by the *month* it changes for the worse, materially.

The author is uniquely positioned, informed, and experienced to speak with absolute authority to this issue. He is a prophet and we simply must start by listening.

Good, but mostly for the layman.

it was DEFCON 1-compelling and the author is extraordinarily well-qualified to make the dire predictions he does. He says we are truly at an inflection point in human history, bringing in lots of interesting information to bolster that claim.

After awhile, I started listening to it at almost 1.5 x because I'm familiar with the technology and its implications, but it was still argued so formidably and in such an entertaining way, I had to listen 'til the end.

Thank God or Whatever that artificial general intelligence seems a ways off, giving us a small window of opportunity to mitigate the risks, the very existential risks from what is immediately emerging globally.

I dropped off at 2/3 of the way into it because I just couldn't take it anymore. this author really needs to go get schooled by some other authors. there's just a bunch of things they could make this better.
