Historia
Once an Eagle is the story of one special man, a soldier named Sam Damon, and his adversary over a lifetime, fellow officer Courtney Massengale. Damon is a professional who puts duty, honor, and the men he commands above selfinterest. Massengale, however, brilliantly advances his career by making the right connections behind the lines and in Washington’s corridors of power.

Could not stop!
Revisado: 09-07-20
The first audio book which was more compelling then reading. Amazing! I felt as if I was watching a movie. The underlying story is heartfelt and agonizing at the same time. A classic, for sure.

Historia
Increasingly, new employees and junior members of any profession are encouraged - sometimes stridently - to "find a mentor!" Four decades of research reveals that the effects of mentorship can be profound and enduring; strong mentoring relationships have the capacity to transform individuals and entire organizations. Organizations that retain and promote top talent - both female and male - are more likely to thrive. Athena Rising is a book for men about how to mentor women deliberately and effectively.

Repeats itself to much
Revisado: 05-20-19
The theme of the book is good however it repeats itself to much. Overall the book can be summarized as follows: Make a professional effort to mentor women; Be professional; Understand women are different than men; and Do not let sexual desires interfere with mentoring. The rest is just filler material. The women's stories who succeed were not focused on sufficiently to give context beyond their was a male mentor who helped them along the way.

Historia
When President Barack Obama ordered the surge of troops and aid to Afghanistan, Washington Post correspondent Rajiv Chandrasekaran followed. He found the effort sabotaged not only by Afghan and Pakistani malfeasance, but by infighting and incompetence within the American government: a war cabinet arrested by vicious bickering among top national security aides; diplomats and aid workers who failed to deliver on their grand promises; and generals who dispatched troops to the wrong places.

Great analysis of Afghanistan problems
Revisado: 04-29-19
Great book with very interesting points and details. The story gets a little difficult to follow sometimes due to jumping from point to point when they overlap but the book as a whole exploits how US policy, or its lack thereof, is not working in Afghanistan.
