The first audio book which was more compelling then reading. Amazing! I felt as if I was watching a movie. The underlying story is heartfelt and agonizing at the same time. A classic, for sure.

The theme of the book is good however it repeats itself to much. Overall the book can be summarized as follows: Make a professional effort to mentor women; Be professional; Understand women are different than men; and Do not let sexual desires interfere with mentoring. The rest is just filler material. The women's stories who succeed were not focused on sufficiently to give context beyond their was a male mentor who helped them along the way.

Great book with very interesting points and details. The story gets a little difficult to follow sometimes due to jumping from point to point when they overlap but the book as a whole exploits how US policy, or its lack thereof, is not working in Afghanistan.
