What does it look like to live with joy in a society that does not like what Christians believe, say, or do? It's tempting to grow angry, keep our heads down, retreat or just give up altogether. But this isn't the first time that God's people have had to learn how to live in a pagan world that opposes God's rule.

Interesting read

This read is more about what you can do with ChatGPT than the how you can do it. I realize that this is for beginners but thought there might be some small primer for the how to start.

Historia
As the World Trade Center buildings collapsed, the Pentagon burned, and a small group of passengers fought desperately to stop a third plane from completing its deadly flight plan, America went on war footing. Killing the Killers narrates America's intense global war against extremists who planned and executed not only the 9/11 attacks but hundreds of others in America and around the world, and who eventually destroyed entire nations in their relentless quest for power.

This Killing book is much different than the others.
Revisado: 05-25-23
Bill doesn’t narrate this book. It is on a topic that is pretty current. That said, afterwards it made think that we (Americans) are loosing the war on terror. The loss of life on our end has been more than on their end.
I doubt that is true but that is what it felt like. We are loosing - that the body count is worse on our end. I hate to think that the bad guys would point at this writing and say “they might kill our leaders but look how successful we are”.
This book is a solid story of reality but in the end it made me think that we need to do something different or at least more to hurt the bad guys.

There’s a new invisible force at work in our economic and cultural lives. It affects every advertisement we see and every product we buy, from our morning coffee to a new pair of shoes. “Stakeholder capitalism” makes rosy promises of a better, more diverse, environmentally friendly world, but in reality, this ideology, championed by America’s business and political leaders, robs us of our money, our voice, and our identity.

Historia
The urgent need to honor the 56 Signers of the Declaration of Independence came to Douglas MacKinnon, fittingly enough, on the Fourth of July. While doing research for a column meant to remind the American people of that date’s critical importance, he came across example after example of those from the left and the far left—be they in the mainstream media, activists, or anarchists—calling for not only the “canceling” of the Fourth of July, but the continued smearing, censorship, and canceling of our Founding Fathers.

Digital technologies — with hardware, software, and networks at their core — will in the near future diagnose diseases more accurately than doctors can, apply enormous data sets to transform retailing, and accomplish many tasks once considered uniquely human.

Revisado: 08-10-22
Much history and evolution of thought on how machines help man leverage our state of being.
Unfortunately the authors go off the rails in political discourse about how we should increase taxes substantially to pay for some utopia - sounded like someone wants endless government grants.

Historia
In I’m Your Emotional Support Animal, Adam Carolla examines how our culture went careening off a cliff. We used to have one that created real warriors who fought world wars. Now it spawns social justice warriors who fight Twitter wars. He takes on those who are traumatized by Trump and “emotional support animal” owners who proclaim their victimhood at every airport. He stands up for the collateral damage of the #MeToo movement and for freedom of speech on “safe space” filled college campuses.

Historia
Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner first crossed paths as actors on the set of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Little did they know that their next roles, in a new science-fiction television series, would shape their lives in ways no one could have anticipated. In 79 television episodes of Star Trek and six feature films, they grew to know each other more than most friends could ever imagine. Over the course of half a century, Shatner and Nimoy saw each other through personal and professional highs and lows.

A well balanced book.
Revisado: 03-20-22
Showcases the parallel lives of two of the most iconic science fiction characters and actors of all time. It is these two actors who made the genre the major success story it is today. They are more complex people than we as viewers see them. Fame and work ethic made them both have twist and turns over decades. Solid book yet the ending left me a bit sad. LLAP

Historia
In 2009, Mark R. Levin galvanized conservatives with his unforgettable manifesto Liberty and Tyranny, by providing a philosophical, historical, and practical framework for halting the liberal assault on Constitution-based values. That book was about standing at the precipice of progressivism’s threat to our freedom, and now, over a decade later, we’re fully over that precipice and paying the price. In American Marxism, Levin explains how the core elements of Marxist ideology are now pervasive in American society and culture.
