Historia
When we think of fungi, we likely think of mushrooms. But mushrooms are only fruiting bodies, analogous to apples on a tree. Most fungi live out of sight, yet make up a massively diverse kingdom of organisms that supports and sustains nearly all living systems. Fungi provide a key to understanding the planet on which we live, and the ways we think, feel, and behave.

A beautifully narrated piece...

A lovely and poetic work on an amazingly large portion of the biological world, Fungus is apparently, truly everywhere.

Historia
Millions of people climb the grand marble staircase to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art every year. But only a select few have unrestricted access to every nook and cranny. They’re the guards who roam unobtrusively in dark blue suits, keeping a watchful eye on the two million square foot treasure house. Caught up in his glamourous fledgling career at The New Yorker, Patrick Bringley never thought that he’d be one of them.

A book that must be read...
Revisado: 11-20-23
One of the most beautiful books I've ever read. Part Virginia Woolf's insistence on the uninterrupted inner voice and a bit of poetry, due to the author's low and careful reading. You owe it to yourself to take this journey. We should all be so lucky to live such a decade. Bravo!

Drawing on modern neuroscience, ancient wisdom, and decades of practice and teaching, Eddie Stern’s One Simple Thing, with a foreword from Deepak Chopra, explains how what we do affects who we become, and reveals how a steady routine of physical movements, activities, and attitudes are able to transform not just our bodies but our brain functions and emotions, and how we experience life.

A Pleasant Surprise
Revisado: 05-18-22
Nice combination of current scientific evidence and yoga 's long spiritual history and tradition. I was pleasantly surprised by both the accessibility and substantive depth of this book. Highly recommended.
