Promising title and idea, but the substance and reading are geared for children or young teens.
Such a simplified rendering of Buddha’s dharma negates the essence and power of his words.

From someone who located, then lived and studied with two of my ancestral peoples, Fon Vodun of ex-Dahomey (Benin Republic) and Theravada Buddhists in Burma (Myanmar), I found Dr Ray’s teachings to be extremely rare and valuable. Participating intimately, as a recognized tribal member, but raised in the US with Western traditions, was a challenge. Cultural differences, even more than language, posed both obvious and subtle dilemmas while living within and learning, ancient spiritual philosophies, liturgies, and dogma. Because in both places the ancient lifestyles remain present and alive.
All of Dr Ray’s works have provided the understandings and insights that enabled me to deeply absorb the wealth of spiritual knowledge so kindly offered to me by my ancestral peoples. And the enjoyment and appreciation of the societies and my people.
But, thus far, of Dr Ray’s works, “Your Breathing Body 2” is ultimately my greatest source of insight.
Dr Ray is a profound spiritualist and a talented teacher.

A Western mind in intensive meditation practice in Myanmar, with the meditation object being pain, can be daunting. Especially when you begin to question the methods of the teacher and the very few instructions provided. My certainty was in the fact that the teacher was undoubtedly a master and I was changing rapidly. So in trust I continued. And then the universe led me to Mr Herrigel's profound book on Zen and Archery. Within an hours time I had answers to my basic questions realizing that the true focus of my practice is not the quality of the meditation skill but achievement of detachment, as instructed by Buddha, putting me on the road to Nirvana.
I am grateful!

I really don't know if you have any valuable information on your topic because I did not go past the first 7 chapters. The readers voice was so flat and she seemed so bored with her task that it became a strain to listen.
If I wanted nutritional information I would have purchased a book by a certified nutritionist. I found nothing unconventional about your breathing techniques and your constant references to yoga was inappropriate. For your information yoga is not exercise, it is so much more. I won't go on but hope you get this book professionally reviewed if indeed you do have some valuable information to offer.

This is truly one of the most inspiring books I have ever read or heard. Choosing to complete my life in intensive contemplative Buddhist practice at 70 years old, I found myself in a monastery in Myanmar (Burma). But as an American residing in this still ancient culture is a challenge. And the tradition that I believe to truly be mine requires intensive daily practice in heat often nearing 110F, heavy breathing, and total stillness for 2+ hours at a time. Requesting assistance the universe led me to this awesome book. And within just a few hours I had all of the help I needed, directly from D C Gonzales himself, through Audible.
It is an amazing book written from the mind body spirit perspective every activity requires. I am truly grateful and plan to send copies to all of my children and grandchildren.

As a Shaman I have been trained to traverse the upper and lower worlds and the dimensions on this plane. But now in a Buddhist Monastery in Burma studying Vipassana Buddhism, I was both overwhelmed and delighted to learn about the treasures within. Dr Ray's presentation provided me with a deep understanding of the journey within and I continue to employ his teachings on a daily basis.

Having been immersed in the practice of Vispassana Meditation in Myanmar (Burma) for the past two years I fully appreciated this excellent informational of the practice from a Western perspective. Mr Hart displays an astounding understanding of an intricate and ancient practice. I am on my second read.
