Great Exploration of Two Aviation Pioneers
Revisado: 03-25-22
The author does a great job of telling the story of two women whose lives and accomplishments might otherwise fade further and further from collective memory. The stories themselves are incredible and the author's knack for telling them is commendable. The historical context that affected the trajectory of their lives is brought into focus and helps tell this story of two great, and often competing, pioneers.
My only feedback is that the perspective of the story switches regularly through the second half of the book as the narrative begins following multiple stories. As a listener those switches were sometimes hard to follow. I'm sure reading it on paper there would be breaks between paragraphs indicating the change.

Historia
The Disneyland Story: The Unofficial Guide to the Evolution of Walt Disney's Dream is the story of how Walt Disney's greatest creation was conceived, nurtured, and how it grew into a source of joy and inspiration for generations of visitors. Despite his successors' battles with the whims of history and their own doubts and egos, Walt's vision maintained momentum, thrived, and taught future generations how to do it Walt Disney's way.

Great Book
Revisado: 01-20-22
First of all the content is thorough. If you love Disney it's a great dive into the history of Walt's "third child" from conception to the modern day. Lots of anecdotes and details. It kept me listening the whole way through.
I almost didn't choose this book because of the reviews here about the performance and technical issues. I found the narrator did well. Yes, there are some places I wish the production staff had left more space between sections. I don't fault the reader for that, and it's not that difficult to follow. A few hours with some editing software would clean up the problem.

Historia
J. Robert Oppenheimer was one of the iconic figures of the 20th century, a brilliant physicist who led the effort to build the atomic bomb but later confronted the moral consequences of scientific progress. When he proposed international controls over atomic materials, opposed the development of the hydrogen bomb, and criticized plans for a nuclear war, his ideas were anathema to powerful advocates of a massive nuclear buildup during the anti-Communist hysteria of the early 1950s.

Quality Book with OK Recording
Revisado: 02-19-20
The book is incredibly in depth and is very much worth the listen. My only qualm is that it appeared to me that the Narrator of the audio book had mispronounced many of the names of key characters and places and went back and re-recorded them. The new recordings were dropped in and they don't match the tone and quality of the rest of the book. It is a fairly regular occurrence throughout the book and I found it distracting.
