Historia
Ulysses S. Grant's life has typically been misunderstood. All too often he is caricatured as a chronic loser and an inept businessman or as the triumphant but brutal Union general of the Civil War. But these stereotypes don't come close to capturing him, as Chernow reveals in his masterful biography, the first to provide a complete understanding of the general and president whose fortunes rose and fell with dizzying speed and frequency.

A story to remind all of us about the forgotten
Revisado: 10-24-22
Michael Beck is once again masterful in his reading of a John grisham story giving it life and flow that makes it a real page turner! This story highlights a wonderful aspect of our legal system where there are people out there that fight for those who are wrongly convicted. And it's sad as well that we can have people in prison for these types of reasons.

Historia
It took nearly two millennia for the enemies of the Catholic Church to realize they could not successfully attack the Church from the outside. Indeed, countless nemeses from Nero to Napoleon succeeded only in creating sympathy and martyrs for our Catholic Faith. That all changed in the mid-19th century, when clandestine societies populated by Modernists and Marxists hatched a plan to subvert the Catholic Church from within. Their goal: to change Her doctrine, Her liturgy, and Her mission.

a lot to think about
Revisado: 10-14-19
I appreciate dr. Marshall working on establishing a timeline and trail, to explain the insanity that is taking place in the Catholic church. our pope and bishops haven proven themselves to be be weak men, unable to stand and lead in the face of trials.

Historia
Secular humanism has triumphed. Everything the late Victorians and Edwardians believed would bring human happiness has been achieved: Technology has made it so no one needs to work for a living, the social sciences ensure a smooth-running social order, and, in the name of tolerance, religious beliefs have been uprooted and eliminated except for a single holdout - a largely discredited and rapidly shrinking Catholic Church. Yet people are unhappy.
