Horrible narrator
Revisado: 04-26-25
The narrator had little to no inflection she sounded the same for ever character. The story writing was so amateur, and the narrator made it worse, awful just awful.

Historia
In the early 18th century, the Pirate Republic was home to some of the great pirate captains, including Blackbeard, "Black Sam" Bellamy, and Charles Vane. Along with their fellow pirates - former sailors, indentured servants, and runaway slaves - this "Flying Gang" established a crude but distinctive democracy in the Bahamas, carving out their own zone of freedom in which servants were free, Blacks could be equal citizens, and leaders were chosen or deposed by a vote.

For a book that was trying to get all of the facts in it did a good job, telling a story.

Historia
Since they were first discovered in the caves at Qumran, in 1947, the Dead Sea Scrolls have aroused more fascination - and more controversy - than perhaps any other archaeological find. They appear to have been hidden in the Judean desert by the Essenes, a Jewish sect that existed around the time of Jesus, and they continue to inspire veneration and conspiracy theories to this day. John Collins tells the story of the bitter conflicts that have swirled around the scrolls since their startling discovery, and sheds light on their true significance for Jewish and Christian history.

Great modern lineage of the scrolls
Revisado: 12-31-22
Education, lineage, and good take the scrolls. Christianity as a single entity is skewed. but I understand, that is common.
