Historia
Why would a butler gatecrash a wizard funeral? It sounds like the first line of a joke, but what Jax sees when she gets to Abarim Manor is as serious as a heart attack. The butler’s employer, old wizard Blimaex Abarim, is being slowly tortured to death by contagious black magic, and she needs to stop the person responsible.

Historia
Not all problems can be solved with a mute button. Everyone knows Rebecca Marley. She’s the crazy, brave, and introspective woman who spent nine months without talking. Everyone loves her. She’s raw, honest, and relatable. She’s also rich and famous, although I’m sure you knew that already. You’ve probably read her articles, or her book, or seen one of her many interviews. She’s also socially anxious, self-conscious, and self-degrading, but she tries to keep that to herself. Her once-silent world has changed, and the noise has engulfed her.

This was a good series. Not my go to genre but definitely worth the listen. It wasn’t as I thought it was to begin with but turned out to be good. A sleeping disordered stalkerish guy falling in loved with a broken girl kinda love. The ending has me torn as I need to know what really happened to Keon.

I really liked this book. Having it all doesn’t necessarily mean a thing if you take it for granted. After Amber’s dad sends her away to teach her a lessons, she learns what it means to work for something you love. Be it work, friendships, or love. I did love the adventure she was on even if it was a teachable moment. Plus who doesn’t love a great love story?!?!

I really enjoyed this cozy mystery. It is chalked full of suspense. It has mystery, murder, witchcraft, and love. This was definitely a cute book to read. I was shocked by the murderer as I kept thinking it was someone else. The reason was also shocking too. I really enjoyed the different character voices portrayed by the narrator. I’d definitely recommend this book.

Imagine going mute/silent for 9 months to get away from it all? Could you cope, would you allow yourself to fall short and start communicating, or would you hold on and continue the challenge to find yourself? Well that’s what Rebecca did. At first she found it difficult but she was determined to follow through. She learned a lot about herself and rethought her relationships with her mom and friends. This book definitely showed courage and determination one person is willing to go through to find themselves. Now I want more of Rebecca and Benjamin.

Another homicide has rocked the small town of Fallsburg, New York. In a cabin nestled deep in the woods, two male victims are discovered, both gunshot victims. One is deceased the other one is barely alive. But it is not the murder itself that has detectives Jean Whitley and her new partner Marty Keal frantic to find out the answers of what occurred in that cabin, it is the identities of the two small children also found at the scene.

This is the second book in the series that I have listened too. The story line was great with many twists and turns. It was definitely a tough subject matter to get through and I was teary eyed more than a few times. The ending was also great. Definitely well written and the narration was okay too.
