Historia
Preet Bharara has spent much of his life examining our legal system, pushing to make it better, and prosecuting those looking to subvert it. Bharara believes in our system and knows it must be protected, but to do so, he argues, we must also acknowledge and allow for flaws both in our justice system and in human nature. Bharara uses the many illustrative anecdotes and case histories from his storied, formidable career - the successes as well as the failures - to shed light on the realities of the legal system and the consequences of taking action.

I love Preet Bharara and this book does not disappoint. Well thought out, well written, well read by Bharara. Entertaining and thought provoking. So glad he took the time to write this book.

Historia
In Eat Dirt, Dr. Axe explains that it's essential to get a little "dirty" in our daily lives in order to support our gut bacteria and prevent leaky gut syndrome. Dr. Axe offers simple ways to get these needed microbes, from incorporating local honey and bee pollen into your diet to forgoing hand sanitizers and even ingesting a little probiotic-rich soil.

Inadvisable for IBS Sufferers
Revisado: 05-06-17
Any additional comments?
I appreciate that the author has put a great deal of research and work into this book. However, although his advice is clearly intended for IBS sufferers (as well as others), many of the recommended foods are high FODMAP and would likely cause IBS sufferers increased distress rather than assistance and relief. Bone broth made with onions and garlic? Coconut flour? Almond flour? Chamomile tea? Honey? Really? This is perplexing since this book was recently published and the fact that those foods cause distress to IBS sufferers is commonly known to IBS sufferers and those who treat them. How can this author present himself as an expert in gut health while making such recommendations? Also, the "Eat Dirt" is gimmicky and insulting to the readers, and the editor - if there was one at all - seems to have not read the book, since many of the same information is repeated over and over again.

Historia
Highlighting the fascinating link between a child’s neurological development and the way a parent reacts to misbehavior, No-Drama Discipline provides an effective, compassionate road map for dealing with tantrums, tensions, and tears - without causing a scene. Defining the true meaning of the “d” word (to instruct, not to shout or reprimand), the authors explain how to reach your child, redirect emotions, and turn a meltdown into an opportunity for growth.
