The beauty of letting go
Revisado: 04-17-25
Vaugh and Riley held onto shame from the abuse of their parents for a lifetime. when they were able to come to terms with it, their true beauty came through. I've witnessed this transformation with my husband who lived a similar childhood that the Vaughn character did. That constant physical and psychological abuse was realistically portraid and the results of what that kind of abuse can do. I enjoyed hearing how much freedom the characters felt when they released the guilt of their trauma. It is truly magical.

Historia
After fleeing an abusive husband with her six-year-old son, Tommie, Beverly is attempting to create a new life for them in a small town off the beaten track. Despite their newfound freedom, Beverly is constantly on guard: she creates a fake backstory, wears a disguise around town, and buries herself in DIY projects to stave off anxiety. But her stress only rises when Tommie insists he’d been hearing someone walking on the roof and calling his name late at night.
