A humongous waist of time.
Revisado: 07-03-24
This book is a humongous waists of time. The author could have probably just written a manual, and cut the book in 1/3 and actually make it relevant. Instead he uses second grade terminology to explain simple things, but he does it over and over and over again. Perhaps if you are a 16 year old starting your channel this Would be very valuable. If you have a college degree, this book will be a pain to listen to after the first chapter.

This book can change your life
Revisado: 07-11-23
Jordan Peterson is one of the greatest thinkers of this century. The delivery in the book is personable and feels very intimate, as if you were sitting down in front of him speaking with him. So much to think of. So much to learn. So much to live for.

Interesante pero muy repetitivo
Revisado: 08-29-22
Este libro tiene historias interesantes, pero es muy repetitivo. A veces parece que la autora se vio con la necesidad de “rellenar” muchas de las historias repitiendo una y otra vez lo mismo, con diferentes palabras. Pero definitivamente súper repetitivo.

Historia
China and America are world powers without serious rivals. They eye each other warily across the Pacific; they communicate poorly; there seems little natural empathy. A massive geopolitical contest has begun. America prizes freedom; China values freedom from chaos. America values strategic decisiveness; China values patience.America is becoming society of lasting inequality; China a meritocracy. America has abandoned multilateralism; China welcomes it.

Great if the author wasn’t clearly anti-Trump
Revisado: 06-26-21
This book is interesting but lacks permanence. For an issue as complex as China, he centers much of the text in doings by the Trump administration and the book appears slightly like political propaganda at times.

This book saved My child
Revisado: 02-15-21
My 4 year old had been suffering with potty training. He had been already potty trained for pee for about 2 years but number 2 just wasn’t happening. I never imagined he was constipated as he was always pooping in his undies, so much I switched him back to diapers. We would try again every week, buying new underwear and he would still have “nuggets” or “skid lines” and would cry and cry every time we tried to sit him in the potty to poop.
This book literally saved his life. He had this huge belly which I never thought anything of, which was basically inflammation from having who knows how much poop impacted due to never fully emptying when going number 2. I was totally against the method it suggests but after reading it two times and seeing my child and my family suffer I decided to do it.
We have him for 3 days a full cap of Miralax, and the first two days the magnesium laxative candy we bought at the pharmacy. I put a diaper on and said “the next few days a lot of poop is going to come out, it is ok to poop in your diaper, just get it all out, whenever it comes don’t hold just let it all out” he looked at me so surprised but we did it. After day 3 he was basically pooping water. I gave him Gatorade the whole tome to ensure he was never dehydrated, and normal food. After those three days, I took the miralax to half a cup for three days, and then 1/4 of a cup every other day - and a morning probiotic plus the anImal parade papaya enzymes.
At the same time, we did only for two or three days, the anal exercises it explains in the book. I would get on my belly with him in the frog position and say: ok try to close tour but, now push, like when you go poop. The first times he would let out a little gas, which he thought was Funny. Then I would say ok now close, now push. I did this with him 10 times una row. I did this for three maybe four days, morning and before bed.
We then went to buy him new underwear that he picked out, and I would say to him remember you can close your but when you want to poop, just let me know and then we can run to the potty and push it out then. He had one huge massive accident one evening after his míralax but after that he started pooping every day and his poop became more and more manageable for him - as in softer and easier to push out. We are now 4 weeks out and he is having such a great time pooping. We bought a sticker chart and he has one sticker left to get a remote control boat. It is honestly such a relief to see him have proper control of his bowels and to know there wasn’t any underlying problem.
We are now doing miralax just twice a week and I just do basically give him the tip of a teaspoon. My plan is to take him off in a few weeks. So we haven’t even gone through one full Bottle.
I have to admit I never wanted to use míralax or laxatives, but this book explained everything so clearly and the process with such detail I had the confidence it would benefit my son.
I am forever grateful to Dr. Hodges for writing this book. He saved my son from any more silent pain of hard poops, compacted stools and I would even say he saved my marriage, because potty training was becoming a huge problem for my husband and I.
Now my son has the cutest little flat tummy, and he excitedly calls me to the potty to show me his soft looking poops. And that brings me joy and peace. If you are a parent you understand. :)

Money - investing, personal finance, and business decisions - is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don’t make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.

Nothing new for an Uber hyped book.
Revisado: 09-25-20
If you have read 21 lessons for the 21 century, Warren Buffet or even Dave Ramsey this book has nothing to offer. The title is magnificent. Except it is. It about the psychology of money at all. It is a book on economics, investing and social behavior but to call it the “psychology” of money is a huge presumption of the material you are abut to read.
