struggled to finish. it's an attempt to capture a listening experience similar to Serial, but it falls short. don't get me wrong, I have listened to and like other Amazon content, but this just doesn't have it. maybe because it follows a story which I can't relate to in any way (setting, age, etc) or maybe because it's a forced attempt at trying to tell a story which just isn't interesting to me. I struggled understand most of the native speakers other than the two primarily ones.

great ending but really drags out in the middle to the point where you forget what you're listening to. lots of loose ends which need to be tied, so maybe there will be a follow up.

you never stop expecting to hear Tom Hanks voice. interesting story, but the plot line plays out similarly to other DB books...at least at the beginning. typical DB character development and perfect infusion of history into the plot. great read.
