Historia
Rosanne Boyland hated politics. She was shy, and she rarely left her home in Georgia. But then her family got a shocking call: Rosanne had died at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, in the middle of a crowd trying to force its way past a police line. From the depths of their grief, the Boylands vow to figure out what happened to Rosanne. Her brother-in-law, Justin Cave, reaches out to an old high school friend he hopes can help: MSNBC journalist Ayman Mohyeldin. The quest for the truth takes Ayman back to his hometown of Kennesaw, Georgia, where he retraces the last six months of Rosanne's life ...

Sadly, More Common Than You'd Think
Revisado: 04-13-22
Its a sad, but well-told story. I was drawn to it because I, too, have lost someone to online radicalization. In my case, it is the misinformation spread by anti-vaxxers that has drawn my friend down the rabbit hole. but like Rosanne Boyland, she is energized by the idea that she is a "truth teller" and is saving kids. I just hope she doesn't end up like Boyland, but nothing would surprise me. I think the Pandora's Box of the Internet has made this phenomenon more common than you'd like to think, and difficult to combat because the energy they draw from their "cause" is greater than your love, or history together - or both - as demonstrated by the loss and bewilderment her family still feel. Shocking, sad, but happening every day. Great listen if you find yourself in a similar situation.
