I've been through hundreds of books on Audible and I stopped writing reviews a long time ago. This book...reduced me to tears. I am not the crying type. This book pulls at the heart strings. The pain of a mother being strong for her children when she has no strength left. As soon as I heard the narrators voice I thought "absolutely not" but my hands were messy and I couldn't be bothered to clean up to switch to another book so I ended up just listening for a while. I kept needing to know what next. The narration grew on me and I was hooked on this book. If you liked this book try The Nightingale or Firefly lane next.

Perfection

I had this book for several weeks but I had 2 series to finish so it took a while to get to it. I am 5 hours in and writing this review. Something I haven't done in several months as I go through the books so quickly and they all blur together in my mind. But this... this has me in my feelings. I have gone from outrage over a sick baby's idiot father, to pride, to sadness to laughing like a buffoon. I almost choked on my laughter trying not to wake my son and smothering my face in the pillow. I've reset my sleep timer 3 times. Its impossible to sleep listening to this story. I love the narration as well. Perfection. Absolute Perfection and I don't even know how it ends yet!
Edit- A glorious ending!!! Magnificent. Audible.com if you would be so kind as to make other Julie titles available on .com... I tire of changing my information to get the titles I want.

Surprised

I was not a rick ross fan, I know maybe three of his songs. Never paid any attention to him or his life and surprised even myself by starting this book. Its going on my keepers list. True insight into the man himself, struggles. Artists beef I had heard of but paid no heed to. I have since gone through some songs of his and I am surprised I even remember some lyrics from the book. Having heard the songs I think they sound weird in the book. I recommend anyone to read this book even if your not a fan. You might learn something. I am now a Rick Ross fan and I understand the meaning behind his words in his songs. Truly Amazing!

I tried I really did...

The narration was a trial, I did not finish. I read the physical copy of this book and liked it and figured listening would give it a new light. I was wrong the narration was a burden to deal with. The male voice was almost funny. I will not be listening to it anymore.

I enjoyed this Series

I enjoyed everything except the order the books were shown in. Wishing for a highlander exposes the story line of Choosing for a highlander. Choosing for a Highlander should have been first in the series then wishing for a highlander. Besides this it was a great series.

I enjoyed the story and the performance but the set up of the series is off. My advise is to read this one first so as to not spoil the story.

Stephen Dexters voice is God's gift to narration.

Listened to it all in one sitting

Its been a while that I enjoyed a romance novel with so little romance. I liked the chemistry they have and how oblivious they were to it. Rather typical rich guy and assistant novel but I enjoyed following their story. On to the next one.

Unexpected Delight

I am the last person you would catch reading about vampires and werewolves. The stories all tend to follow a twilight storyline. THIS has been an exception. Total enjoyment that was completely unexpected I finished this book in one go. I will be keeping it and getting the rest in the series. The 'meow' has me on edge.
