Thrilling Story! I Liked It Even Better Than The First!!!
Revisado: 10-06-24
As a fellow New Englander, I loved hearing about the Berkshires and Salem. I'm a long time Morbid fan and I remember way back when Alaina and Ash said they hadn't ever visited Salem but it was on their list. Man...how things have changed. It's definately the land of their people.

Historia
To Anne Serling, the imposing figure the public saw hosting The Twilight Zone each week, intoning cautionary observations about fate, chance, and humanity, was not the father she knew. Her fun-loving dad would play on the floor with the dogs, had nicknames for everyone in the family, and was apt to put a lampshade on his head and break out in song. He was her best friend, her playmate, and her confidant. After his unexpected death at 50, Anne, just 20, was left stunned.

Good on family life- Bad on politics
Revisado: 01-11-24
I loved hearing about some of Rod's personal experiences like in Walking Distance, the carving of his name in the tree, and some of the phrases he would use with his kids like "Who's your best buddy?"But I could've gone without the political references. The joys of The Twilight Zone is that it's fantasy, unfortunately the politics brings it back to reality.

Beautiful Soul
Revisado: 08-07-23
I've always liked Jewel. However, I never knew what her mother did to her. Her ability to forgive and regrow everything that she has lost is admirable. Her adaptability to life's lessons are amazing. She is a true Survivor and elevated spirit.

Historia
It started with a college course assignment, then escalated into a dangerous obsession. Eighteen-year-old honor student Jason Moss wrote to men whose body counts had made criminal history: men named Dahmer, Manson, Ramirez, and Gacy. Posing as their ideal victim, Jason seduced them with his words. One by one they wrote him back, showering him with their madness and violent fantasies. Then the game spun out of control. John Wayne Gacy revealed all to Jason - and invited his pen pal to visit him in prison.... It was an offer Jason couldn't turn down. Even if it made him....

Saw his story on a talk show back in the 90's. Intriguing.
Revisado: 10-17-22
I recently thought about this kid, Jason that I saw on a talk show back in the 90s. I didn't remember his last name but it was easy to Google. I find it fascinating that a teen boy could get this far in his research and actually visit one of these horrible killers. It's impressive that he manipulated them and became who they wanted him to be to get his story. It's heartbreaking that Jason in fact turned out to be The Last Victim

Captivating Characters-Suspenseful-Creepy
Revisado: 09-15-22
As a fan of Alaina's from her Morbid podcast, I tried to separate my admiration of her as to not automatically love her book because of who wrote it. Instead, I tried to listen with virgin ears. I was very impressed. The characters were very interesting. I was hanging onto every word of The Wren's insight and stories and to Jeremy's criminal mind. An excellent listen!!!

Captivating story. I was hanging on his every word.
Revisado: 11-16-21
So sad, yet inspiring, how Damien could find love, energy, insight and personal growth through all the torture and blame for a crime he didn't commit. He's a very strong and admirable soul. I wish for all the happiness and good fortune to him, Jason and Jessie. Namaste.
