querky banter
Revisado: 01-08-24
I love banter back n forth between Poe n Sonny n Riker. It reminds us that people can still have a sense of humor even when the odds are against you.

A Mashup Of Firefly and Die Hard
Revisado: 05-09-23
Always been a fan of JN Chaney And Scott Moon ever since Orion Colony. I love the combination of different characters and their personalities. it reminds me of Firefly humor with a little bit of Die Hard bad-assness added to it. The mystery of how he came to this side of the universe and his relationship with Kayan is very intriguing. Almost as if it was planned that way and not an accident from his test flight.
It's selfish of me to ask but I wish JN Chaney could coordinate his audible releases in a way that alternate between his book series (Backyard and Sliprunner) so I don't have a long waiting period. 😭 I want more of Homeworld now. 🤪❤️❤️

Time Warp
Revisado: 01-29-23
Time travel has always confused me in stories. Especially when you have a blending of past and present Characters existing at the same time. This book reminded me of an eighties action film. It was amazing. And now I'm going to read the rest of this timeline...backwards. lol. Because that's how I started with mind bullet and worked my way back to tribe. I may as well keep up the tradition with exo hunter. 😊 Jeremy never required us to read it in order. I want to be special

Historia
Cole Riker is a Slip Runner. A contractor tasked with finding alien salvage in exchange for credits. For an ex-smuggler like Cole, there’s a catch: Don’t break the terms of parole. That means doing things by the book. Find salvage, turn it in, get paid. But everything changes when a retrieval mission lands him in a previously unknown sector. There, he finds the material he’s been sent to recover, along with something more. A brand-new form of ancient alien life.

Surprisingly Good
Revisado: 01-10-23
I was really excited to read this series because it was in the same timeline as Renegade Star. And it had previous characters from that series. The story was a little slow for me in the beginning. I did however like the back and forth banter between POE and Riker. I don't mean to insult the actor, but I had a hard time getting used to Neill Thorne's voice. It was different and not what I expected. It's probably because I'm so used to listening to Luke Daniel's. Of course you can't have the same actor in all of Chaney's books. I know there has to be some variety.
As the storeliine continued on, I learned to really appreciate Thorne's use of different types of accents. He definitely has a sexy female voice for Camilla. Growl lol. I am also really extremely crushing on the surprise character drop at the end. (no spoilers) 🥰🥰🥰
I look forward to reading what happens to Riker and his crew. I'm hoping that Chaney will do some kind of star trek reference to Riker's name in the upcoming books. It's only fair 😄

Miah Gray is a 27-year-old former army soldier living in rural New Hampshire with his sister, mother, and her boyfriend. He is plagued by PTSD, finding solace, but not redemption, with the aid of prescribed cannabis. All he wants to do is get high, relax with a good sandwich, and watch a meteor shower with his neighborhood crush, Jen. When the sun's light is blotted out the following morning and the world is plunged into darkness, Miah finds himself locked down with his family, covering windows with trash bags, lighting candles, and following the arcane rules of an ancient prophecy.

Thrilling

You are entranced and scared at the same time. You want to keep reading but you're afraid about what happens next even though you are laughing at the character's dialogs.

Enthusiasm and Sarcasm
Revisado: 08-09-22
I was a little skeptical about reading this because the synopsis reminded me of expeditionary force. However I'm a huge fan of Bobiverse. So when you combine Daniel E Taylor with Ray Porter it's magic.
This book was not what I expected. It reminded me a lottle bit of his Outland book. Dennis really captures that essence of nerdology and a sarcastic sense of humor we are all lacking in real life. He really knows how to create relatable characters that have a weird, sarcastic, and intelligent type personality. Nerds don't panic with an alien vision they just save the world instead.
It would be really nice if the whole world could just stop acting like poo poo heads and get along so we can finally get to the star trek stages in history.

Historia
The folks in Mike Erikson's small New England town would say he's just your average, everyday guy. And that's exactly how Mike likes it. Sure, the life he's chosen isn't much of a challenge to someone with his unique gifts, but he's content with his quiet and peaceful existence. That is, until an old friend presents him with an irresistible mystery, one that Mike is uniquely qualified to solve.

A Great Way To Learn About Theoretical Science
Revisado: 09-04-19
I'm not sure about the beginning of the story line it was a little slow for me and the build-up to the mystery was good. I think what kept me most to 10 was the characters and the way they interact and made jokes the sarcasm and the way I was able to understand physics and theories. I'm really glad they were able to tie in the previous characters from book 14. I hope the Peter Clines keeps up this series.

The Trouble With Nanites
Revisado: 08-07-18
It was a slow start from the beginning but listening to Ray Porter helps bring the characters to life. I would have hoped that there was a different kind of ending for Ivan. I figured if he can form the nanites to any structure or manipulate any electronic systems and mimic voices. why is it not possible to create a human-like shell? Anyways, I enjoyed it not as much as Bobaverse but not every author can get it right every time. I hope to see more works from Dennis soon.
