From the first paragraph to the last, this is a hardboiled detective story that feels like it was written in the 1940s. Looking forward to more from this author.

“The Green Ghost Declassified” is a collection of new stories written in the style of the pulp adventures of yesteryear. While the authors have updated the characters and added some clever twists, make no mistake – these are stories that could have appeared in the best of the old pulp magazines. You won't find much in the way of existential angst here. What you will find are fun, tightly-written stories that cross genres from crime and adventure to horror and the occult.
The Green Ghost was one of many crime-fighting vigilantes popular in the '40s. He was a magician by trade, crime fighter by choice. These new stories take place in the post-war years after the time of the original stories. Among my favorites in this collection are when the Ghost teams up with other pulp heroes, including a new character, the Black Shrike, and the saucy-but-tough Domino Lady.
The narrator handles the material well without overdramatizing it. These stories are a natural for the audio book format--almost like listening to an old-time radio show like "The Shadow." Enjoy!
