Historia
Sergeant Jim Chee’s vacation to beautiful Antelope Canyon and Lake Powell has a deeper purpose. He’s on a quest to unravel a sacred mystery his mentor, the Legendary Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn, stumbled across decades earlier. Chee’s journey takes a deadly turn when, after a prayerful visit to the sacred Rainbow Bridge, he spots a body floating in the lake. The dead man, a Navajo with a passion for the canyon’s ancient rock art, lived a life filled with many secrets. Discovering why he died and who was responsible involves Chee in an investigation that puts his own life at risk.

Wonderful story and performance. I'm sure Tony would be very proud of his daughter's creation of the story of the characters from his works. She's a credit and a great author herself.

Historia
Trauma is a fact of life. Veterans and their families deal with the painful aftermath of combat; one in five Americans has been molested; one in four grew up with alcoholics; one in three couples have engaged in physical violence. Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, one of the world’s foremost experts on trauma, has spent more than three decades working with survivors. In The Body Keeps the Score, he uses recent scientific advances to show how trauma literally reshapes both body and brain, compromising sufferers’ capacities for pleasure, engagement, self-control, and trust.

How do you get something out of nothing? It seems like an obvious question, one that drives everything from spiritual creation stories to our understanding of the big bang. Yet it leaves us with a sense that underneath everything lies emptiness and lack. We can phrase this question in a new way: How do we get something out of everything? In Leap to Wholeness, physics educator Sky Nelson-Isaacs explores the science of wholeness.

having met sky Isaac Nelson online at a great workshop I reached out to him and talk to him about how much his theories back up what Marshall Rosenberg had to say about non-violent communication. he allowed me to teach him an introduction to non-violent communication and found it to be very valuable for himself and his family. if you would like to understand what Marshall Rosenberg meant when he said "what you see is what you get" this will give you the answer.

Historia
In 2014, Francis Fukuyama wrote that American institutions were in decay, as the state was progressively captured by powerful interest groups. Two years later, his predictions were borne out by the rise to power of a series of political outsiders whose economic nationalism and authoritarian tendencies threatened to destabilize the entire international order. These populist nationalists seek direct charismatic connection to “the people”, who are usually defined in narrow identity terms that offer an irresistible call to an in-group and exclude large parts of the population as a whole.

Listen to understand our political environment now
Revisado: 09-05-22
This amazing book written by one of my favorite commentators on humanity back in 2018 provides a very comprehensive way to understand what's going on in our political divide at this current time.
Most of us recognize democracy is at a crisis point. Some of us know that we've been at this kind of point previously.
Many of us are wondering what the blazes is going on.
This book made the situation quite clear to me, I highly recommend it.

Historia
Half a century ago, an aberration was spotted by one of our earliest satellites, and summarily dismissed as a hardware malfunction. But it was no aberration. And no malfunction. It was an accidental glimpse of something extraordinary, and very old. Mocked for decades, the man who designed the satellite is now dead. With the system's original data firmly in the hands of former NTSB investigator Joe Rickards and anthropologist Angela Reed.

well I loved the imaginative and intriguing story, I was a little put off by the performance. it seemed that almost every word was emphasized as if it was incredibly important, and that took away some of the pleasure of the book for me. the narration was very clear and articulate otherwise. I look forward to Michael's next book.

Despite being written off by the media, Andrew Yang’s shoestring 2020 presidential campaign—powered by his proposal for a universal basic income of $1,000 a month for all Americans—jolted the political establishment, growing into a massive, diverse movement. Now, in Forward, Yang reveals that UBI and the threat of job automation are only the beginning, diagnosing how a series of cascading problems within our antiquated systems keeps us stuck in the past—imperiling our democracy at every level.

I was very interested in Andrew Yang when he was running for president because he espouses many of the solutions to our troubled democracy that I have felt would be very powerful to make the United States of America a place where people would enjoy life and have full access to all of its benefits. please listen to this book or buy the paperback and consider supporting Andrew yang and his Forward Party.
