Historia
The CIA's deepest secrets are being given away for a larger agenda that will undermine the entire Western intelligence community. Director of National Intelligence Mary Pat Foley wants it stopped but doesn't know who, how, or why. Jack Ryan, Jr., is dispatched to Poland on a different mission. The clues are thin, and the sketchy trail dead ends in a harrowing fight from which he barely escapes with his life. If that's not bad enough, Jack gets more tragic news. An old friend, who's dying from cancer, has one final request for Jack.

Can’t recommend this book.
Revisado: 11-21-24
Maden did fine with the first Clancy novel he wrote. However, I couldn’t get through this one. The dialogue was overwrought. The whole story was unbelievable. Not a fan.

Very Disappointing
Revisado: 06-29-24
The entire premise was completely over the top. I kept listening, hoping it would get better, but it didn’t. I’ve enjoyed most of the Longmire books, but this wasn’t one of them.

Vietnam flashbacks were vivid
Revisado: 03-31-24
This is the fourth installment of the series and, as I’m listening to them in order, it’s now my favorite. The character of Virgil, the man-mountain Indian was particularly interesting, and I suspect will appear in later tales. I also enjoy Walt’s clumsy courtship of Vic. Altogether a fun read.

Too far fetched for me

All of storyline, characters and events are pure fantasy- including descriptions of military equipment, etc. I couldn’t get past the second hour.

Chris clears up many of the questions I had about the dysfunction of the early years of the Trump Administration. Hope Donald read it and keeps Kushner out of the next inner circle.

Most complicated plot of any of Rowling’s works to date. Had to work at following the various characters and online subplots - helped to go back and Re listen. Political overtones were a bit off putting, but easy to ignore. Fascinating in the end.
