Great introduction to the Jewish Bible! The Torah provides a good understanding to the meanings and pronunciations of certain words and names of biblical leaders and historic sites. I'll be reading this quite often. Praise YHWH!

Not the read I anticipated but a new point of view
Revisado: 03-09-21
Judging from the reviews, it's clear that everyone (including myself) expected this book to be a sequal to The Coldest Winter Ever, but instead it was the complete opposite. Honestly, being that my expectations were something different, it was hard to get through. But as I continued to listen, I understood the message that Sista Souljah was trying to convey. We readers were bearing witness to the infamous Winter Santiaga in the thows of change. Hopefully in the next book we will get a chance to be introduced to this "new" Winter and how she will move through life with her new found perspective.

Historia
In 2015, Arlan Hamilton was on food stamps and sleeping on the floor of the San Francisco airport, with nothing but an old laptop and a dream of breaking into the venture capital business. She couldn’t understand why people starting companies all looked the same (white and male), and she wanted the chance to invest in the ideas and people who didn’t conform to this image of how a founder is supposed to look. Hamilton had no contacts or network in Silicon Valley, no background in finance - not even a college degree. What she did have was fierce determination and the will to succeed.

Historia
The construct of race has always been used to gain and keep power, to create dynamics that separate and silence. This remarkable reimagining of Dr. Ibram X. Kendi's National Book Award-winning Stamped from the Beginning reveals the history of racist ideas in America, and inspires hope for an antiracist future. It takes you on a race journey from then to now, shows you why we feel how we feel, and why the poison of racism lingers. It also proves that while racist ideas have always been easy to fabricate and distribute, they can also be discredited.

Hardcore Self Help: F--k Anxiety is for those of us who find the prospect of reading a traditional self-help book to be way too boring. How are you supposed to make positive changes in your life if the book itself feels like a chore? This audiobook is definitely not a chore.
In Hardcore Self Help: F--k Anxiety, I talk to you like a friend. There is lots of swearing and humor but also loads of helpful and actionable information.

Awesome from the beginning to the end!
Revisado: 10-25-20
I loved the transparency, straightforwardness and humor the author brought to this read. As someone that works in Behavioral Health I actually appreciated that the author chose this style of writing. I enjoyed this read because it did not bore me with technical terminology or serious stoic psychological banter (as many psych books can go). The author made me want to listen more to his advice because he came across like an aquaintance that is easy to talk to (who so happens to also be a psychologist) Lol! This all while at the same time giving great self-help tools in order to provide insight and "un-twist" the anxious brain.
