I'm not crying, you are. 🥹

Black Knight by Rina Kent was incredibly emotional. Zander and Kimberly's passion was consuming. From childhood best friends helping each other cope, to sudden hatred with an unknown cause, to palpable longing and heartbreak. The emotional trauma they experienced was heartbreaking. This book was raw and real and the emotions consumed me.

The audiobook, narrated by Shane East and Keira Stevens was perfection. They nailed the emotional intensity and passion. I was captivated.

The Edge of Chaos was everything. I deeply felt Brecken's heartbreak and longing for Rina. I loved their story and the growth of their connection. I loved the Fritz brothers and can't wait for their books.

Blake Lockheart and Samantha Brentmoor did a great job narrating the audiobook.

Deviant Hearts by Jagger Cole was a delicious mafia romance, albeit mostly predictable. I devoured the audiobook.

New York was controlled by rival Drakos and Kildare families. But constant war between them is allowing other crime families to encroach and threaten to take over. In an attempt to unite the families and stop the feud, Ares Drakos and Neve Kildare are forced into an arranged marriage.

Despite their vast differences and hatred toward one another, their attraction and chemistry are palpable. Neve enjoys being contrary just to get a rise out of Ares in more than one way. 😉 Forced Proximity worked its magic to get them over their differences. Ares is an Alpha MMC and definitely fell first. Neve had moments depicting the Queen she is, but it wasn't consistent. I wanted more. I loved the Drakos-Kildare family and can't wait for the next audiobook!

The audiobook narrated by Ryan West and Sophie Daniels was oh so steamy. I ate it up! They were great at storytelling. I was immersed in all the intensity and intimacy.

The Edge of Reason by J. Saman was so good. I loved getting to know Drew and Margot after the bits we got in Aria's book.

Drew and Margot were coworkers and best friends. They did everything together, including platonic sleepovers. Margot was there for Drew after his breakup with Aria. Drew was seemingly heartbroken.

To save Margot from an awkward encounter with an ex, Drew kissed Margot and pretended they were together. It was a kiss that changed everything. The unforgettable, passionate kiss that you relive for days.

Drew knew immediately he wanted more. While Margot was afraid it was a mistake that would ruin their friendship. Drew was still in love with her friend, right?

Margot had a pretty traumatic past filled with neglect. Making her friendship with Drew that much more sacred to her. Margot was apprehensive toward the change in their relationship and fought it the entire way. While Drew fought for her.

Just when they were so close to finally being happy together, misunderstandings and tragedy strikes. Leaving Margot with a long road to recovery, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Their end was beautiful. It just felt too quick. I wanted more.

Brandon Utah and Sarah Puckett did a great job with the audiobook. I was engrossed in their storytelling. The pacing, inflection, emotion, and passion were all excellent.

The Edge of Forever by J. Saman was pining, regret, and unrequited first love given a second chance.

Wesley Kincaid was Aria's older brother's best friend. She had a crush on him from the beginning. Growing up, they had an undeniable connection, albeit secret. Wes went away for college, troubled by family issues that he kept hidden. He wanted to better himself to be the man Aria deserved when he came back for her. Without knowing that, Aria left the country to live her life. Ten years later, tragedy brings them back together when Wes ends up being her best friend's surgeon. Wes refuses to let her get away again.

The Edge of Forever flashes back and forth from their past to the present day, giving the reader insights into who they've become and how they got there. Wes and Aria's lovestory was cute, though Wes did not have to work hard to get his second chance. The other focus of the book was the attack of Aria's best friend, Josh, and his hospitalization. Be aware of trigger warnings.

I almost had to DNF the audiobook. Erik Bloomquist's narration came across as very robotic at times. It didn't matter if I sped it up or slowed it down. But, I really enjoyed Madeleine Dauer's narration, so I powered through and found it was worth it.

The Edge of Temptation by J. Saman was an emotional yet sweet read. It was the right blend of playful and serious. I absolutely loved Halle and Jonah. They were both going through things that made them avoid relationships when a night at a bar made them give a one-night stand a chance. Then fate kept pulling them together.

Jonah's internal struggle and heartbreak were conveyed so well that I was heartbroken and conflicted along with him. Halle brought life and purpose to his life again and made him question everything. One thing is certain: Jonah, without a doubt, loves deeply and completely.

Halle had nearly given up on love and blamed herself for terrible exes. Jonah showed her what love and passion were and helped her face her fears and find her strength. She had a real badass moment toward the end that really showed her growth and newfound self-assuredness. 👏

Amy Melissa Bentley and Sean Hardisty did a great job narrating. I was immersed in their storytelling and flew through the audiobook.

Corrupt by Penelope Douglas was just okay. Some parts I really enjoyed, some I didn't.

I was really not a fan of the writing style for this one. It constantly flashed back and forth to and from 3 years ago. There was this big mystery of the Horsemen being mad at Rika for God knows what for 3/4 of the book. I was almost bored at the suspense. It was drawn out too long. All to be exposed in one conversation. To say it was anticlimactic would be an understatement.

Michael and Rika did have a palpable attraction, but I can't get over how Michael treated her. While Corrupt was not the greatest, I was invested and intrigued to finish and find out everything.

The narrators did a good job overall. There were times when voicing other characters that it was cringe for me.

Undeniably Enemies by J Saman is an Enemies to Lovers story done spectacularly. The angst, heated passion, and anger were palpable and sincere. Jack and Wren are lovable characters reacting to misguided honorability and a misunderstanding. Jack is prime book boyfriend material!

Teddy Hamilton and Samantha Brentmoor are already two of my favorite narrators, and they did not let me down. Their chemistry and ability to capture Wren and Jack's personalities were on point. I loved everything about the audiobook. I was captivated from start to finish and flew through it.

I can't wait for more of the Undeniable series!

Shamrock Kisses by Serena Pier was just what I needed for St. Patrick's Day. Rachel and Patrick were adorable. I loved their insta-connection and chemistry. Patrick's nerdiness with covert naughtiness was hot. Rachel's openness and playfulness were cute.

I really liked Patrick's friend, Brandon. He's a true hype friend, and I love it! Please tell me we are getting a love story for him!

Savannah Thomas and Grayson Owens did a great job narrating this novella. I was fully emersed in the story. They executed the playful, flirting perfectly and beautifully transitioned into steamy, heated scenes.

I really enjoy these High Five Novellas! My only complaint is that I want more. It ended just as it was heading up. How about annual sequels?

Priest by Sierra Simone was unexpected. It was incredibly spicy from start to finish, but it also had depth. Tragic backstories, struggle, conflict, guilt, pain, loss, and purpose. It truly was sinfully delicious. But I was attached and empathetic to the characters and their journey. I found myself begging Sierra not to break my heart throughout the entire book. It was real, honest, and raw.

The audiobook was amazing! It is mostly narrated by Jacob Morgan, with a little by Elena Wolfe, who did a wonderful job. Jacob was excellent. His voice was captivating, and he conveyed the depths of Tyler's emotions very well.
