Not a fan…
Revisado: 02-16-25
Thought I’d try this book, author keeps popping up recommended. I do not recommend. Skipped to the end after 1/2 of book and couldn’t even listen to the last chapter. Great narration, tho.

Turned from the path of the assassin, Asher roams the world no better than a nomad, with naught to offer but his sword and grit. But woe betide the monster that believes his sword and grit will not be enough. In a twisted chance of fate, the brash actions of Doran Heavybelly—a dwarven hunter with a lot to say—forces Asher back into the world of man. And so the ranger is brought into the light, into the gaze of Illian’s greatest crime guilds and onto the lawless island of Dragorn.

Overkill on the various narrators
Revisado: 10-10-20
Only needed one narrator. The woman was terrible, mix was bad, the second man was there for what? Rudnicki was great, but the punches were bad. He was the only narrator needed. Production quality, punches, various sonic variations and bad mix.

Really bad narration...
Revisado: 08-18-20
I love N.K. Jemisin, but this choice of narrator was really bad. I suffered through all 3 books because the story was good. Narrator mispronounced many very common words, changed pronunciation of names from one book to the next, misused common words with double meanings, and used some pretty bad accents.

Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Dual narrators
Revisado: 07-31-19
Using two narrators was ok, except they pronounced key characters names differently. That bothered me. Shouldn’t that have been corrected in mixing?
