Question mark
Revisado: 05-01-25
I will make sure I look for virtual voice narration so I never listen to that narration style again… this ruined the story but if this book was trying for copy cat of The Women you missed the mark … nothing about this was worth my time!

Set in the mountains of southern Appalachia, Demon Copperhead is the story of a boy born to a teenaged single mother in a single-wide trailer, with no assets beyond his dead father’s good looks and copper-colored hair, a caustic wit, and a fierce talent for survival. Relayed in his own unsparing voice, Demon braves the modern perils of foster care, child labor, derelict schools, athletic success, addiction, disastrous loves, and crushing losses.

I did not want this book to end. The reality is amazing. The ending is a gift to which one wants to know what happened next.

Bad choices made this man
Revisado: 10-18-23
I loved this audio book. Reality as well as truth at its best. Life could have gone so many different ways for this man but they all went right.. not based on who he knew but based on what he did and does with a hard life with virtually no childhood and everything stacked against him… one great listen

This is an amazing book and I have never listened to a book with so much amazingly beautiful music. Melissa Etheridge really has a story to tell that is sad happy touching and meaningful. I am glad I saw her on CBS Morning… it was exactly the angel I needed. Highly recommend listening because if you read you miss the most amazing storytelling in song.

Historia
Richmond, Virginia 1811. It’s the height of the winter social season, the General Assembly is in session, and many of Virginia’s gentleman planters, along with their wives and children, have made the journey to the capital. On the night after Christmas, the city's only theater is packed with holiday revelers. In the middle of a performance, the theater goes up in flames. Based on the true story of Richmond’s theater fire, The House Is on Fire offers proof that sometimes, in the midst of great tragedy, we are offered our most precious—and fleeting—chances at redemption.

Raining Greatness
Revisado: 09-19-20
I got this book through audible and the listen was absolutely awesome! I look forward to the next book by this fine young women. It grabbed me from the beginning and did not let me go until the end and I still wanted more. This was a delightful experience and the timings were great. There were many cruel and hurtful moments but each provided growth for the main character and made me wish and expand my imagination as to what might happen next as I hope for a sequel as she continues to prove her strength and her worth!

One Howling Wind
Revisado: 05-17-20
Disappointed at first the reader was male and not the January of Camino Island but that was soon overcome by the intensity of the book...Grisham does a great job of introducing “more than five” characters really well with little thought as to “who is that... oh yea!” This was a dynamite read as all of his books are!
