Historia
At least one-third of the people we know are introverts. They are the ones who prefer listening to speaking; who innovate and create but dislike self-promotion; who favor working on their own over working in teams. It is to introverts—Rosa Parks, Chopin, Dr. Seuss, Steve Wozniak—that we owe many of the great contributions to society.

Worth Your Time
Revisado: 07-22-23
As a “sensitive extroverted introvert,” this book helped me better understand my non-sensitive extremely introverted husband better then any marriage book; my introverted toddler faster than any parenting book; and myself better than any past discussions about my feelings.
I’m afraid my introverted husband will never read it in total—he’s the one who started reading it years ago, causing me to put it on my list—because though introverted, reading isn’t his thing. But I found it insightful and well-worth the listen. Hope to share some of the ideas regarding career especially with him as he’s lost sight of what he loves after years of feeling pressured to do what others expected…and telling himself there must be something wrong with not wanting to do as everyone else did.
Have already started incorporating some ideas into my parenting to better connect with my toddler who defies my understanding sometimes.

Historia
Few subjects are as compelling-or as endlessly variable-as love and marriage. The Bible is filled with references to husbands and wives, from the story of Adam and Eve to advice in the New Testament, each open to interpretation. In The Meaning of Marriage, Timothy Keller, pastor of New York's Redeemer Presbyterian Church and bestselling author of The Reason for God, uses the scriptures as his guide to show readers what God's call to marriage is, and why this is such a powerful call.

Best Marriage Book Out There
Revisado: 12-20-22
This has taken over the number one spot in my recommendations for marriage books. And I mean that in that EVERYONE should read this book, single, dating, married, divorced, widowed.
The performance isn’t my favorite, but I got past it for the content.

Deep
Revisado: 10-19-21
I had a hard time listening to parts of this, and I haven’t lost a child—mine only had heart surgery. Whatever trials you’re facing or have faced, listening to this book will hand you the key to escape bondage to sadness and misery and let you into the garden of truth and hope.
Even if Kate’s style isn’t your own, I think only if you haven’t faced deep trials will you find this book abrasive or offensive. Confession that the narrator wasn’t my favorite, but I got past that by the last few chapters.
