Would you try another book from Chuck Wendig and/or Marc Thompson?

I will pass. I pray that whomever is casting for "The Force Awakens" does not use this same team. Chuck must be 11 for his writing comes off that way. Marc is emphatic in all the wrong places, and his phrasing is staccato. Very difficult to follow along with.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Story is okay, not in love with it. The writing is very amateurish, I feel like i'm following along to an Episode of Rebels on the Disney Channel. Its childlike.

Would you be willing to try another one of Marc Thompson’s performances?

No.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Its Freaking Star Wars!!!!

In honor of Spock & Nimoy, lend them an ear.

Was a fun listen, always comforting to hear Nimoys voice and his almost delusional rants with Spock.
focuses mainly on his Star Trek feelings and work and little of his general biography. Good for ST fans and Nimoy/Spock admirers.

Excellent Overview: A Good Start

Total
4 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 05-18-09

I found this book to be an excellent start for one that has limited knowledge of the Middle Ages. It covers a lot of ground, and frankly will leave you lost if you try and grab onto every word. Its best treated as an encyclopedia of sorts. If only the chapter listing was listed properly it could indeed serve this function.

Focused heavily on European and Mediterranean areas during the period. There is no mention of Asians, Africans or Indigenous Americans at all. Glanced over Islam and went heavily into Christianity. This is not a knock, there is some cross over but if you want to read about Islam's influence in depth, you will need to supplement.

The readers clinical/scholarly voice did not irritate me as it did others.

I wasnt a fan or cared much for Dr. Paul

I wasnt a fan or cared much for Dr. Paul, prior to a few weeks ago. I was mainly turned off by the cackle of his followers annoying second only to the followers of "The One". However now that the elections are behind us and the bail-outs and ever growing national debt and inflation before us, i had the time to properly digest Dr. Pauls book. The only thing i wish is that i had read this a few months prior to the election, or even a year or two before that. My approach would have been much different. I recommend this as a must read to everyone in the United States, everyone.
