Heartbreakingly beautiful

This one gutted me over and over again. I loved this story, though I do wish the hesitation between FMC and mmc would have ended a few chapters before it did. However, I could feel every moment of anguish and turmoil thanks to Samantha brentmoor and Jacob Morgan.

I was reluctant to believe in Morgan and Gage, and still have narrators who I think would have been more growly. However, the emotional range required in this one really needed Brentmoor and Morgan.

I’m not typically a second chance troupe girly; but this one was well-done. This may have been due to my bias of this incredible found family that Brandy Hynes created. Either one, I ended the series feeling satisfied with its conclusion

This one will have you grinning and giddy the whole way through. I haven’t enjoyed a romance this much since Trilinas last one, “Knot So Lucky”. They are always a damn good time.

Well done, Remi, well done. 👏
This was my first book by this author but will not be my last. The story was very well done without being distasteful. The spicy was incredible without being crass. And the narrators were superbly chosen. The only thing that could have made this better would be duet narration and a bonus epilogue into the future.
All in all… chefs kiss 💋

Perfect blend of sweet and spice

The aesthetic of this book was perplexing at first. It’s paranormal spice combined seamlessly with its contemporary romance with a taboo, why choose twist.
I loved that the MMCs were only soft for her, while being filthy in the bedroom or butcher shop. They were protective but never overly possessive between the pact. They each had a distinct personality and separate love for Elora—not to mention kink.
The FMCs innocence was concerning in the beginning, but when considering that 7 vampire men raised her, she only knew what they taught her.
5 ⭐️ for originality
4 🌶️ for spice

Weirdly erotic

This story, more than any taboo romance I’ve read, kind of gave me the creeps.
I dont know if it was the FMC narrator or the way the spice scenes were written, but they were off putting.
The concept of this book was interesting and unique, but the execution just didn’t hit right for me.

•The use of ropes and dominant spice
•The narrators

MMC was perfection—FMC too soft

I don’t know why it is so difficult for me to find my perfect FMC. This one, for instance, was in pain for the entire book. So meek, which was only exacerbated why the female narrator whose voice was so melodic I wanted to kick her at times. On the other hand, while Teddy Hamilton as Rossi wouldn’t have been my first choice, he still brought his typical A game.

I will never turn down a book narrated by Webber, but this one was frustratingly sweet for my taste. Plus the MMC waited entirely too long to fight for his girl. It really pissed me off.

Spires as Wade DID ME IN

The banter was delicious between these two and the spice was steaming.

But WADE ASHBY is every mouth-watering thing a woman wants—
1. dominating and possessive, yet knows when to relinquish that power to her
2. Quiet observer, who only has eyes for her and the filthiest mouth that makes the most innocent whispers seem naughty
3. And the most natural caretaker, even after the babies
He’s a total book boyfriend and Gabriel Spires deep, yet soothing voice fully embodies this alpha grump with every grin, chuckle, and naughty whisper. 🥵

I would have enjoyed Ivy having a little more depth to her character, but I enjoyed her spitfire ways, nonetheless. Brooke Daniels cadence always seems to get under my skin when she narrates anything but Joey.

While the spice was spicy, the FMC was the most unlikable character I’ve ever read. She was exceptionally whiny and self righteous throughout the entire book; zero redeeming qualities.
The MMC was obsessed to the point it was cringy—especially the tattoos. And without his POV, we got zero insight into what it is he sees in this woman.
