Historia
With dizzying social transformations in everything from gender to social justice, it may seem like there's never been a more tumultuous period in history. But a single year in the late 18th century saw a number of influential transformations—or even revolutions—that changed the social trajectory of the Western world. By understanding how those events influenced today's cultural landscape, Christians can more effectively bear witness to God's truth in a post-Christian age.

In a Word “amazing”
Revisado: 10-12-22
I started by reading a book written by Eugene Peterson - run with the horses. I had to know more about this man. What a faithful servant. I would have loved to sit in Montana at his “Monastery “ our generation can learn so much by hearing about the life of this Saint.

Historia
Terry Crews spent decades cultivating his bodybuilder physique and bravado. On the outside, he seemed invincible: he escaped his abusive father, went pro in the NFL, and broke into the glamorous world of Hollywood. But his fixation with appearing outwardly tough eventually turned into an exhausting performance in which repressing his emotions let them get the better of him—leading him into addiction and threatening the most important relationships in his life. Now Crews is sharing the raw, never-before-told story of his quest to find the true meaning of toughness.

Amazing story
Revisado: 08-05-22
Thank you Terry Crews for being a voice of reason and talking openly about the pain and recovery that made you the “Tough “ man that you are today. After hearing your story I’m like wow God is at work despite our human attempts to push him away. We are all better people for knowing more about Terry’s journey. May God continue to Bless the Crews family.

Makes me want more of NT Wrights writings
Revisado: 07-07-22
I have read other of the authors works this is a good summary. I value the way the author argues that the kingdom is here on earth and that as Christians we are called to live out our Christian vocation here and now. It’s not about a ticket to heaven.

This was recommended by a friend . Such a good perspective as we grow in our faith and guide others. Buying this now for family members who always had the tough questions that are hard to answer. I do hope they are teaching this in universities today.

The culture of “safety” and its intolerance of opposing viewpoints has left many young people anxious and unprepared for adult life. Lukianoff and Haidt offer a comprehensive set of reforms that will strengthen young people and institutions, allowing us all to reap the benefits of diversity, including viewpoint diversity. This is a book for anyone who is confused by what’s happening on college campuses today, or has children, or is concerned about the growing inability of Americans to live and work and cooperate across party lines.

Prophetic in some ways
Revisado: 01-07-21
Reading this end of 2020 and first week of 2021. We can see how when left unchecked generations can grow up with distorted views of others. Prophetic . There is hope as I work with several Gen Z people and for the most part their approach to life and work are often not as severe as a broad brush generalization would suggest. Author did a wonderful subjective job in research and presentation.
