I met this cool indie author on instagram and aas like, sure, I’ll take a crack at your book! I had a feeling about her talent. And, well, I was right! Why is My Bra Still On gives Gilmore Girls meets Steel Magnolias meet Sex and the City all in such a great way! It is a romping, darkly funny, girl-buddy-quartet dramedy about four lifelong pals dealing with, well, a crazy weird request that none of them know what to do with. It’s fun, funny, deep and sad, relatable, fast, well written and a great read! GET IT! 👍👍👍 Also, follow the author on instagram. She does a great job with her socials!

this is a remarkable piece of literature and unbelievable character study of a man’s life to depths. You could never imagine but if you don’t like crying and you cannot handle something heavy than this is not for you this is a very serious and deep book with a lot of disturbing parts. So real so beautiful and so perfectly done.

Get ready for an emotional and spiritual adventure through the generations of the people of Chicken Hill.
The immigrant Jews and free Blacks intertwine in a story of hardship, cultural evolution, and redemption.
These characters bored deeply into my heart and I ended this book in grateful tears.
This book is a feat! And in our current world, it will really serve the reader to remember what the Jewish and Black populations of the USA have endured and often worked in peaceful conjunction to fight and toil for their freedoms.
An amazing story of how time shapes our lives, forges and erases our histories.
McBride is a master.
Read it!

This book has that classic childrens literature quality that makes us love writers from CS Lewis to JK Rowling. Wishingrad builds a magnificent world of the Manor and the Land and instant friends and even family of the characters who populate her beautiful debut novel. We listened to it each day in our car pool and the kids (11-13 years old) just loved the story. Action, adventure, coming of age, bravery, and some magic. A wonderful book!
